The telecommunications industry in the Philippines has grown significantly over the past few decades. It has played a vital role in connecting people and businesses across the country, enabling them to communicate with each other, access information, and conduct business transactions. Read the infographic below and take a look at the major telecommunication companies operating in the Philippines.

According to the infographic, the two biggest players in the Philippine telecommunications market are PLDT and Globe Telecom. PLDT, which stands for Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, is the oldest and largest telecommunications company in the country. It offers a wide range of services, including fixed-line, mobile, and broadband internet. Globe Telecom, on the other hand, is the second largest telecommunications company in the Philippines, offering similar services to PLDT.

Aside from PLDT and Globe Telecom, there are also several other telecommunications companies operating in the Philippines. These include Smart Communications, Sun Cellular, and Cherry Prepaid. The Internet has become a crucial tool in our lives, it has transformed the way we communicate, access information, sharing of our ideas, and has continuously affected our social and economic development.

Hence, the Internet is for everyone. It provides energy for more people to shape their own life with the Internet providing them with wide-open opportunities. Right now, more people are still internet users, instead of network owners. And with that increasingly significant role, the internet becomes a universally accessible platform, which will allow people to have an improved life quality.

Greetings welcome to 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭 is an advocacy where we campaign for 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.🌐 We are advocates from Group 4, 12A STEM strand in the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School - Vermosa. This survey is conducted by the group's leader, Elisa Oandasan, and its members Adriel Baquilid, Sophia Diga, Keanan Olizon, and Collin Tibayan. Our survey includes a Seven (7) item questionnaire that requires the respondents to insert their age, location, and their purpose of going online to assess the trend between people and their usage of the internet.

𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻 is our aim? It is to spread awareness of the growing demand concerning internet access. 𝑾𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑬 exactly do we plan on conducting our survey? We plan to assess the internet conditions in the Philippines, particularly within the areas of Alabang, Cavite, and Las Pinas. 𝑾𝑯𝑬𝑵 do we plan on executing this campaign? As of now, our movement is ongoing on our social media page on Facebook and we plan to analyze and release the results of this survey by April 4, 2023, Tuesday at 6 PM. 𝑾𝑯𝑶 is our target demographic? People who use the internet for education, leisure, and work purposes regardless of gender and s*x that are within the 13-30 years old range. 𝑯𝑶𝑾 do we call for action? We planned for this survey to be accessible within 3 days from April 2-4, 2023. It will be posted online on our page, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭, and shared on the individual private accounts of the advocates.

📱 ᴛʜᴇ ɪɴᴛᴇʀɴᴇᴛ is a powerful tool that has transformed the world 🌍 in countless ways, but its 𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 stretches back in 1963 with the creation of ARPANET to 1993 with the invention of the World Wide Web, used even until today.

It started with four computers, тнє ƒιяѕт ємαιℓ ✉️ message sent in 1971, and the expanding number of people using email and other networks. 🌐

📣 As it continued to grow, the networks took on a 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 with each other in 1983 with the transition to TCP/IP.
