Hey everyone! I created this stream to create memories with my friends, and also make a safe space for people to be themselves and grow as a community.
I will never forget, when I was 6 years old, randomly waking up at 5:30am on a Saturday. I grabbed my cereal and turned on the TV to get ready for cartoons. I didn’t understand then what was about to happen and changed my life. A random episode of Dragon Ball Z came on. I was instantly hooked. The art, the characters, the action, it was all there. As I grew older it was always looked down upon for liking those shows. Getting made fun of for being into anime was a common occurrence. But that show did so much for me. It inspired me to draw. It reinforced life lessons my parents taught of how kindness is not a weakness. Be proud of who you are and your heritage. Now that I’m older still, I still love this manga and show. The man behind the phenomenon, Akira Toriyama, was a humble man that never gave up. He failed so many times. Dr. Slump got him on the map and then he gave us Dragon Ball. He ended up inspiring so many people and touching millions the same way he did me. Rest peacefully.
