Flume & Liberty, these peaks will always be special to me out of all of the 48 because of this memory.

I was maybe 6 years old, I remember a grand outlook from some part of the trail around "The Flume" that had a view up to Liberty and Flume. I asked my Dad if people climbed those mountains or if we could "go up" those mountains. He told me people did and one day we would.

I had no idea how this single moment would affect my life later on...but I'm grateful for it. Miss ya Dad and thanks for showing me New Hampshire as a kid! We never made it up to Flume and Liberty, but we did make it up to many other peaks together.

Anyway, here's a video of bagging the peaks I’m most nostalgic about in The Whites!

40/48 for the Summer 48 and just need these (as well as the entire ridge) for Spring now! Thanks in advance if you take the time to watch! I did have to put the camera way in some of the trickiest spots!

The other stone face of New Hampshire...sometimes referred to as the "Old Lady of the Notch" among a few other names...not nearly as accessible or viewable as the Old Man was but IMO equally as beautiful in its own right. Once you know where she is you can spot her in Franconia Notch when you drive up. More photos to come!
