New redfish limits rolling out soon! Be sure to keep this in mind along with previously changed trout limits on your next trip out!

🚨 Attention all anglers! 🚨

Starting June 20, 2024, new regulations for Red Drum fishing will be enforced. The new regulations are as follows:

◾ 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹: 4- fish daily limit per angler
◾ 𝗦𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁: 18-inch minimum and 27-inch maximum total length
◾ 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘀: Keeping Red Drum over 27 inches is prohibited
◾ The retention of Red Drum by captain and crew on charter or head boats while on a for-hire trip will be prohibited.

Charter captains and crew will still be allowed to engage in fishing on charter trips to demonstrate how to catch red drum, but will not be allowed to retain red drum towards any limit on the vessel.

Now that LDWF themselves have posted it we can now all believe it! Thanks for all the laughs last night and be sure to always fact check new rules and regulations on LDWF Official site! Don’t believe everything you see on Facebook !

Attention Louisiana anglers: New regulations regarding spotted seatrout (aka speckled trout) go into effect November 20. Here is a summary of the changes:
* A “slot” limit, 13-20 inches total length for “keeper” trout
* A 15-fish daily limit per angler
* An allowance of two fish in the daily limit measuring greater than 20 inches

In addition, charter boat guides and crew will not be able to retain a bag limit while on chartered fishing trips.
