France, Germany, Spain Sign FCAS Implementation Agreement, First Flight in 2027
The defense minister of France, Germany and Spain signed an implementation agreement of the NGWS / FCAS (Next Generation Weapon System within a Future Combat Air System) program, regulating the latter's activities over the period 2021 and 2027.
The signing of this agreement confirms the commitment of Germany, Spain and France to the development of a new generation combat aviation capable of facing future threats and challenges along with maintaining a dynamic European defense industrial and technological base.
Following the efforts since 2019 the first flight demonstration is expected in 2027.
European Future Combat System under development by Airbus, Thales Group, Indra Sistemas and Dassault Aviation. The FCAS will consist of a NGWS as well as other air assets in the future operational battlespace. The NGWS's components will be remote carrier vehicles (swarming drones) as well as a New Generation Fighter (NGF) a sixth-generation jet fighter that by around 2035–2040 will replace current France's Rafales, Germany's Typhoons and Spain's EF-18 Hornets.

Indian Air Force has asked Alpha Design to deliver six Very High Frequency radars for ($27.4 million) to upgrade P18 radars procured in 1980 and 1990s. VHF radars are capable of detecting and tracking stealth targets at long ranges. Alpha will also supply around 60 Identification of Friend-or-Foe (IFF) systems that will be integrated with ground radars. This contract is worth ($10.9 million).

Dutch Foreign Minister who was on the official visit to Pakistan last week had been asked a cunning question from Pakistani Journalist during the joint press conference of Pakistan's and Netherland's Foreign Ministers in Islamabad.
A Journalist asked: "If PIA's pilots and aircraft are safe enough to help European countries to evacuate their citizens and staff from Kabul, then why are not PIA safe enough to continue its flight operations in Europe?
To which Shah Mehmood Qureshi lauded a journalist for raising a brilliant question before the Dutch FM. Although, Dutch Foreign Minister couldn't answer the question saying she's not an expert to give comments on Aviation related matters.
It may be recalled that European Union has barred Pakistan International Airline for the flight operations in Europe since last year, although at the time of evacuating their citizens and staff from Afghanistan amid turmoil, they sought PIA's help.

Syria said to be intercepted guided missiles which launched by four IAF F15s. The 21 out of 24 missiles intercepted by Syrian Air Defense Network. According to TASS News Agency, Russian supplied Buk-M2E and Pantsyr systems intercepted them. Its third such incident in two months.

Pakistani officials have reportedly begun talks with their Chinese counterparts to buy the FC-31 stealth fighter jet, according to a news report. Pakistani Defence Production Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain confirmed the discussions were underway, according to an article published by Asia News International, a Delhi-based news agency. The Pakistani Air Force (PAF) is reportedly considering buying between 30 and 40 of the Chinese stealth combat aircraft to replace the F-16 fighter jets produced by Lockheed Martin Corporation of the US. The FC-31 is designed to fly close air support, air interdiction and other missions. However, the PAF is more likely to employ conventional tactical aircraft rather than stealth aircraft in actual missions to support Pakistani ground forces.

His major Command appointments include Commanding Officer PNS TARIQ, Director Pakistan Navy Tactical School, Flag Officer Sea Training, Commander Coast and Commander Karachi. His major Staff appointments include Directing Staff at Pakistan Navy War college, Director Naval Warfare & Operational Plans at Naval Headquarters, Fleet Operation officer, Chief Staff Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, Liaison Officer US CENTCOM USA and Naval Secretary. Lately, he has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and Chief of Staff at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad. The Admiral has also performed duties as Additional Secretary-III in Ministry of Defence.
Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore, National Defence University Islamabad, Royal College of Defence Studies UK and Naval Command & Staff College Philippines. He also holds Master’s Degree in International Security & Strategic studies from United Kingdom. In recognition of his meritorious services, the Admiral has been awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
