As we draw closer to the New Year many are writing down their goals and aspirations for 2023. Take part in this. Write it down and make it plain and clear. Take those big steps and find the smaller steps to get you to your goal. You can not lead effectively without clear vision. Be able to not only tell others your goals but yourself. this -determination

September is National Sickle Cell Month

What is Sickle Cell Disease? It is a genetic condition that affects red blood cells. When a child receives two sickle genes from each parent.
Sickle Cell Disease is most common in African Americans but other races are affected too such as: Latino, Middle East, Indians, Asians, Mediterranean backgrounds, Sub-Saharan Africa has the greatest burden of cases with the disease with about 300,000 babies born every year with the disease.
This month we are partnering up with RDU Sickle Cell Agency] to raise funds through a virtual 5K “Move as you choose”. Join us and move for a cause. Proceeds will go to RDU Sickle Cell Agency] to aid in improving the quality of life for a few sickle cell disease patients who cannot care for themselves financially!

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. The month to bring awareness to the unique struggles which racial and ethnic minorities face regarding mental health. The minority in the United States are more likely to develop mental health conditions and it’s the one community that has a lot of barriers to treatment access.
