Woke up this morning with a bit of a spring in my step today as I forward to a few weeks of great Narrative gaming here in the South-Central USA.

The Great Team over at The Taking of Phyrix is putting on a pair of events in Dallas Texas, We have a one-day event next weekend and then two weeks later we have the second part of the Amber Strand Narrative that was started in Kanas City back in May. I was fortunate enough to attend the Kanas city con and it was an absolute blast!

I took a pile of photos at the Kanas city event, and the tables looked great so I wanted to share some of the photos. I also did some kind of silly bit of Photoshop work I did to memorialize my Warlord for the event. The whole Phyrix system places a lot of focus on players crafting their own commanders and building stories for them. Most of my story on my commander is done through reports and is very dry, but it’s nice to play up the ‘Saturday Morning Cartoon’ feel that sometimes reverberates through parts of the fiction.

Hey all!

Update from God Engine Cast! I’ve got a few things I want to touch on today.

First. I’m going to be trying to record a podcast next weekend! So if you have questions or a particular topic you want me to cover, or an event you want me to plug please email me at [email protected]

Second. I’m going to be in the UK in late May through to Early July. I’m planning on attending the Goonhammer GT Titanicus event, and also looking to try and find other club meets and the like to visit. I will be staying mostly in the west midlands but a trip to the Bristol/Bath area is likely, so if you know of anything going on please let me know!

Also, if there happens to be someone out there who wants to split a hotel room, or can even give a lift to a random visitor from ‘across the pond’ I would be very grateful, as well things aren’t as cheap as they used to be.

So late in 2020 after spending most of the pandemic creating a podcast focused on Adeptus Titanicus I decided to start a second show focusing on my other love ORKs! I named this show The Uvver Cast in part a tribute to the fantastic Gorkamorka source book, The Uvver Book.. and well the fact it was my ‘other podcast’.

Well 2021 was in many ways a harder year than 2020 for me and recording two shows just wasn’t on the cards, and in the last few months I haven’t even done much of that. But over the holidays I have been able to get quite a few things in order and I’ve started having time to record again.

The other day I was struck with inspiration and this evening I find myself releasing the 3rd episode of the Uvver Cast into the wider world.

In this episode I return finally to talk about what I have been up to with my Orks, and talk about the list I am putting together for a Matchplay event I hope to attend in a few months!

Looking to the future I hope to have more episodes out soon, both for this and other topics! In the mean time please contact me with any feedback.
