Things worthy knowing about TAZARA
Tanzania Zambia Railways.
It was constructed as the result of political frustration in the 1970s (1970-1975).
This was when Ian Smith the then Southern Rhodesian leader closed boarders with Zambia, making it difficult for Zambia, a landlocked country to do trade with outsiders.
Because of that, Zambia and Tanzania joined hands and constructed the railway with the help of China after the West refused to help thinking it was going to be a white elephant.

According to TAZARA SADC regional Chief Executive Officer Mr. Chig'andu Bruno, since it's inception, TAZARA has moved over 30million Metric Tonnes of imports and exports and has moved over 60million of people, both intra and cross boarder.

Further, by positioning, TAZARA provides key infrastructure support for regional integration and connects SADC, COMESA to East African countries.

It's 1,860km from Dares salaam Tanzania to Kapiri Mposhi in Zambia and it has 318 bridges, 94 stations, 3 workshops, 2 Quarries, 1 Concrete sleeper plant.

In tourism, it plays a very big role.
Also TAZARA has made the great north road to be of less congestion because one Train replaces about 40 tracks.

Did you know: Tanzania has the highest number of lions population than any country in the world.

TANZANIA has the largest number of lions compared to other African countries, a new report says.

There are estimated to be between 14,000 and 15,000 lions in the country today, thanks to an extensive network of protected areas in form of national parks, game reserves which form at least 300,000 square kilometres.

"This ensures sufficient space for the lions to hunt (feed) and breed and protection from human disturbance and for the ecological balance needed for their survival," said Dr Dennis Ikanda, Principal Research Officer in charge of Carnivore Ecology and Conservation at the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (Tawiri) .

"Tanzania has the highest number of lions at 8,176, followed by South Africa 🇿🇦with 2,070 lions, Kenya 🇰🇪 with 1,825, while Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 has 1,709 lions to its name," says part of the report. Mozambique 🇲🇿 and Zambia 🇿🇲 have 1,295 and 1,095 lions respectively.

The ancients said 'What bites you, is in your clothes'. And I have continued to believe in that expression with the intention of cautioning myself and the people around us. Many African leaders have lost their lives to betrayal by close people. People who would probably be expected to be a help to a leader who was built on hatred by certain people, especially those people who do not have good intentions for their nations and avoid those leaders being brutally murdered. Pictured: former Burkina Faso president Thomas Sankara and his dear friend Commander Blaise Compaoré. Despite Commander Blaise being a close friend of President Sankara, and even five days before the death of President Sankara they appeared in a joint party rejoicing and dancing together, but five days after the ceremony Commander Blaise was the one who attacked and killed President Thomas Sankara and asserting his authority.

ZOLILE HECTOR PIETERSON, 16 JUNE 1976.

A photo was taken by a black South African writer as he leaned against a wall following the collapse of students at a school in South-Western Town popularly known as SOWETO. The students staged a vigorous strike demanding that the Colonial Government provide education in a language that they can understand well. They were no longer ready to be taught lessons in Afrikaans and other languages that are not understood by many.
To calm them down, the police came and started firing on them. The victims were not only students but also residents of the surrounding areas. Every year in Africa commemorates the day of the massacre. It takes place every 16th June known as AFRICAN CHILDREN'S DAY. The child who shocked many people who witnessed the abduction was ZOLILE HECTOR PIETERSON carried in the picture. On the side is her bloody sister crying. The one carrying his fellow is the BACK MAN, known as MBUYISA MAKUBO. ZOLILE HECTOR PIETERSON was only 13 years old since he was born in 1963 and MBUYISA MAKUBO was three years older than ZOLILE but he got an incredible strength to carry his friend.

Mbuyisa Makubo lived next door to the Zolile's home. It was their custom to pick up each other at the time of going to school and then the time to go back home they were together again. They loved each other very much. On the day of the incident Mbuyisa Makubo quickly searched for his neighbors and when he found them he ordered them to flee with him. Unfortunately a few steps later Zolile was shot and fell to the ground like a pile of charcoal that broke the alliance with the roller. Without question, Mbuyisa Makubo decided to carry him as he is seen in the photo while Zolile's sister followed with tears in her eyes, crying for his brother being overshadowed by a police shot. Mbuyisa saw a small car in front of him, just a few steps away. Without asking who was the owner, he put zolile in that car. Immediately the owner of the car showed up and Mbuyisa asked for the help of the car to take them to the hospital. The owner accepted, and mbuyisa entered the car without realizing that he had been photographed carrying his colleague. Unfortunately, Zolile died just minutes after arriving at the Dispensary. The writer who hung on the wall was the owner of the car. He decided to distribute the picture through magazines. Although many other students were killed but were not photographed as was the case with ZOLILE HECTOR PIETERSON. The photo then was served as an identification of the students' assassination on June 16, 1976. Zolile became a "specimen" for all his colleagues who died and were buried in the same area. It is for this reason that we are celebrating AFRICAN CHILDREN'S DAY. The goals are to care for children, raise them well, raise them on the basis of good upbringing, get their needs met, get an education, and so on. The more you feed a child the more he or she becomes. This photo is now a tourist attraction. It is housed at the main entrance to the museum of the massacre that took place in SOWETO. The museum's superintendent is the weeping girl (on the photo), who is Zolile's older sister, she was given this honor by the South African Government. There was a time when Mbuyisa Makubo was hunted by the colonial government.

Look, Mbuyisa Makubo was not born into the same family as Zolile but he helped Zolile through his ordeal. Society grew that way in formation. If a child commits violence he is warned by any member of the community and then reports to the child's parents. The child knew that society is one. Today the rebellious child is only left without being corrected or counselled. This era is marked by extraordinary strikes and demonstrations by students. Students march to demand rice and meat to be in school every day, students march demanding to sew more tight pants, students march demanding the rice crust in the kitchen, ooh mother Africa!

The war on the liberation of the African continent and the liberation of Africans themselves cannot be viewed and supported in the political arena alone but even in other aspects of life such as economics, society and even culture. While politicians with good will with the African continent are struggling day and night to build strong African politics, there are Africans who have, in one way or another, decided to dedicate themselves and help their fellow Africans in economic and even social challenges to facilitate the journey towards development. Africa is not afraid, it congratulates and thanks all Africans in Africa and outside Africa who are showing their efforts in ensuring that the African continent and Africans themselves have the opportunity to enjoy life, either by providing various education or even by providing employment to Africans and ultimately helping those Africans overcome the Africa's great enemies "Poverty", "Disease" and "Ignorance".
