Sepanx AF 😭 I never expected I’ll be loving Vietnam sooooooo much! Initially, I was planning to be on a vacation mode, relax, take it easy at the hotel most of the time, and be as calm as a pickle. But guess who ended up doing so much and went on so many adventures ? lol. Just in case anyone is curious what my most favorite place/experience in Vietnam is, that would be my 4D3N Ha Giang Loop trip! Nature, culture, history, people, Ha Giang is a total package! The photo is from Ha Long Bay though, which comes second on my list.

When I was planning my trip for Ho Chi Minh, I wasn’t very excited as I thought it would be just another Manila that’s geographically located elsewhere, only to find myself enjoying the rich culture, learning their incredible history, and experiencing the warmth of the locals. One of my toxic traits as a traveler is that I never learn not to assume or expect anything from the destination. I always end up being surprised. Both positively and negatively. But I guess the way to go about it is to just give it a shot no matter what and add more items to your experiences and been-to places. That alone is fulfilling enough! To wrap up my Ho Chi Minh trip, here’s a photo of the Saigon Central Post Office. It is one of the most recognizable and iconic buildings in the city. While the Saigon Central Post Office remains an active post office, it has also become a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can still use its services for sending mail and buying postage stamps. Additionally, there are various shops and stalls inside where you can purchase souvenirs, postcards, and other items.

The hermit caves of Badovas are very close to Kastraki village. Between the village and the town of Kalabaka, surrounded by immense rock pillars lays the small valley of Panaghia (Virgin Mary). It stretches between two large rock formations called Pyxari and Amparia and a few other smaller rocks which almost completely engulf it from all three sides. The locals know this place by the name of Badovas or the hermit caves of Badovas. Badovas is the name of a nearby restored but abandoned small monastery dedicated to St. Nikolas or Agios Nikolaos of Badovas. The monastery was likely built back in the mid 14th century into a natural big cavity existing on the side of a cliff that nowadays bears the same name.

The Holy Monastery of Roussanous - Saint Barbara, located at Meteora Greece was first established in the 14th century. It received the name “Roussanou” probably from the first hermit-monk who settled on the rock around that period. The monastery is one single building occupying the entire available surface of the cliff. It creates the impression that the building was carved out from the cliff as the extension of the rock itself!
