It was shared that he had served the department as a daily wager for twenty-four years and retired in coming April of this year. Unfortunately, he did not receive any benefits from the concerned department or the government after his retirement. Jammu Residents of Ward No 64 held a meeting yesterday evening in the office of Thakur Hoshiar Singh Congress Leader Jammu North Assembly and Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee Jammu and kashmir to discuss the unscheduled cut of power by PDD department. Thakur Hoshiar Singh assured the residents that he would raise the issue with the concerned officers of the PDD department. Speaking to the media, Thakur Hoshiar Singh also mentioned that the installation of smart meters by the administration was one of the reasons behind the increase in electricity bills. However, the administration has denied such claims, stating that the smart meters have been installed to avoid any sort of power cuts. The residents of Ward No 64 have expressed their disappointment with PDD's infrastructure as they have been facing daily power cuts. Additionally, despite paying a large revenue to PDD, the residents are deprived of proper electricity supply. The residents have also questioned the accountability of the company and PDD department responsible for maintaining the electricity supply in the area.
