Reflecting absence are two pools, each nearly an acre in size, that sit in the footprints of the former North and South Towers. The pools contain the largest manmade waterfalls in North America, each descending 30 feet into a square basin. From there, the water in each pool drops another 20 feet and disappears into a smaller, central void.
According to the architect, Michael Arad, the pools represent “absence made visible.” Although water flows into the voids, they can never be filled. The sound of the cascading water makes the pools a place of tranquility and contemplation separate from the bustling noises of the city.

The extraordinary centerpiece of Hudson Yards is its spiral staircase, a soaring new landmark. This interactive artwork was imagined by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio as a focal point where people can enjoy new perspectives of the city and one another from different heights, angles and vantage points.

Behind the picturesque Wernisberg, you can see the Mythen. They are a mountain massif in the Schwyz Alps and consist of the two fantastic rock pyramids. The Big Mythen (Grosser Mythen) is 1898 meters above sea level. The small Mythen (Kleiner Mythen) is 1811 meters above sea level, with the secondary peak Haggenspitz 1761 meters above sea level. They were formerly also called Hakenberge.
The Mythen are the landmark of the cantonal capital Schwyz in Central Switzerland.
