Happy new year!!!
I am so glad that we all made it!!!
2021 has been full of so many things and I am grateful for it all without exception. Cos even in the good or not so good times, God is good all the time.
I enjoy you to stay tuned with me and be a little patient.
I had a Christmas song recorded last year, but unfortunately it hasn’t finished well..

It's been an amazing 2021... and phew!!!! I just had to take time off to attend to my new born who is now almost 10months now!!!

Time flies and as much as I really wanted to be here , I had to take a pause and face the home front.

So many issues wanted me to stop me from relaunching back, but you see ... I had to tell myself that I have people whose destinies are tied to what I share on this platform

Special thanks to EVERYONE who asked after me and asking me to come back.. your words are forever etched in my heart and I do not take your love and care for granted.

we all have 24 hours in a day to do all we want. but how do you make that count. what are your routines like? how do you make out time for things that matter, like your God, your family, your work time, your leisure and so on. what ever you do has an impact on your life. someone said the success of men is in their stories; i rephrase and say the SUCCESS OF MEN IS IN THEIR HABITS.

whatever you do, however you do it; time is the only limiting factors. sometimes, we spend time doing things that don't matter ( i am on this table sef) but it takes you to call yourself to order and prioritise what you do. i know some people will dislike me for this- but you must not visit people all the time (if you must; do call); its not compulsory to leave your phone on over the night - ANY emergency can wait!!!; you must not always PLEASE everyone- you are not that important (people ALWAYS GUILT-TRIP YOU or emotionally blackmail you. learn to always KNOW

WHAT MATTERS to you at certain times. I have learned that in this life; I don't need so many friends. I know who cares, I know who just want to be associated with me for the sake of it, I know who URGENTLY needs my attention and I know those who PRETEND to be my friend. over-time many have revealed themselves to me and I take a mental note and know how to prioritize them; i ask for help on how to deal with each of them

its amazing how the human life is so short and how it seems like, one moment we are here and the next moment we are gone!! more like the candle in the wind; a footprint in the sands of time;a leaf on a tree and so on...

we will not see that person again until eternity. yes, we may see have pictures, voicenotes, letters and recordings of thier lifes when they were here (thank God for humans that made these devices- God truly gifts men its left for us to acknowledge that all knowledge and wisdom comes from HIM alone. )...but we wont feel them anymore, nor touch them anymore cos they have transited.. one thing is certain; you can never grief enough for our loved ones; especially thouse who have impacted our lives in so many ways that can't be quantified.

you are left with memories, you are left with legacies that only you know how much it hurts.. the only certain thing in this our fickle life is DEATH. yes, we pray never to die young, we pray that we see our great grandchildren in good health and in sound mind;

but while doing this can we not forget to live a purposeful life according to God's will? else we may just be a name on people's lips that will be forgotten so soon.. let your life be one that inspires, let your life be one that gives wholeheartedly; let your life be one that generations yet unborn talk about and use your life as a blueprint to live a better life.

Jesus coming down in form of his creation died, so that you will replicate the heavenly mandate to be the:

Let me leave you with these words from my dad

You see, that very thing which you know does not add any value to you could be the very thing holding you down

If you are not careful you start behaving like what you intentionally do not want to be like.

When you know yourself worth, you wouldn't be caught dead doing somethings, saying some derogatory statements, thinking dirty thoughts and so on.

You will look for your kind, your pack and rub minds with them so you can soar high..

The Eagle is the only bird that cant be hunted down easily, cos its place is not found where it can easily be preyed on easily

As much as a Dog is called a "man's best friend", it's still eaten in some cultures and can be killed with just a bullet.

You cant put pearls around a Pig's neck, it will be found In dirt cos it doesn't know the value.

But you see the Eagle... its beauty, its poise, its ability to soar far above what eyes can see is such that it's called the KING of birds

There is something so beautiful about people who have gone through tough times and decide to share that story to inspire

I don't know if you know that you wont live forever, but you can live again through someone in parts as an aspect of their life can be linked to the decisions you make to change the narrative.

Just like when you give birth to a child, you notice some traits from your parents or grandparents and you begin to wonder if they are reliving their lives again through the child...

So wouldn't you rather change the NARRATIVE, do the IMPOSSIBLE, CONQUER your fears so that someone can begin a legacy by that singular DECISION you made

Have you ever expected someone to behave in a particular manner because of their level of education and you end up been disappointed and someone whom you assume to be an "illiterate" or should I say " unschooled" ends up behaving In a dignified and appealing manner....

Your guess is as good as mine.

One decides that Going to the 4 walls of a university gets him educated and gives him an edge and doesn't see any reason to improve and seek more knowledge, wisdom and ask for understanding of matters while the other, by reason of inquisitiveness, quest for knowledge, thinking learning from so many life lessons decides not to let his or her circumstances become his reality- he daily and consciously improves himself.

Have you ever been in a situation where nobody ever wanted to help you despite the obvious fact that they have the capability to do so?

Did you feel like they looked down on you and made you feel inadequate, undeserving or less than a human being?

Our lives matter, be it black or white, boy or girl, woman or man, child or adult... ALL LIVES MATTER.

the Society is biased always... wanting to box you into certain narratives, wanting to make you to accept what is the norm...

How can we get past this? Is what I ask. How can we change the narrative. Why do we give power to some more than the other thereby causing oppression. Why do we make excuses for the perpetrators of evil? Why do we lax the judgement when it comes to certain race, gender or colour. Why do we always think it's ok to hide behind certain paradigms .

Can we start the change in us so that it can cause a ripple effect to the society and the world at large. One at a time? Can we speak out even if it means being ostracized for it.
Can we begin to be more compassionate, deliberate and purpose driven in our approach to finding solutions.

It's not ok that you have a boy child and you make him feel that he has the right to treat his fellow HUMAN as trash just because he will continue the legacy ( he has to show strength) forgetting the fact that a girl can match him In strength and intellect. Apart from the ge****ls that differentiate a man from a woman; what cant a woman do?

Train not just the girl child, the Boy child must know how to treat his female counterparts as he would his mother - WITH RESPECT!!

Until this changes, the society would not adjust... let there be EQUALITY, let there be EMPHATY, let there be mutual RESPECT..

After all despite our colour, gender and race, OUR BLOOD IS RED

Psst... can I let you on a secret?

If you always bring yourself down just to make someone feel good, you have handed them the power to treat you like trash....
Please dont mistake that for Humility ( This is has nothing to do with How a person is or wants to be perceived by others)..

I mean you are PURE GOLD... ( no one can put a price to you!!!!) ... you may ask that "but I always attract so many wrong people?" ask yourself how you portray yourself. Ask, how sound are you? Do you always claim to know it all and refuse to listen more than you speak? Do you always feel you are not good enough?

I always say this to children that say: I am bullied in school, how do I fight back?
I first ask "who are you? " how do you see yourself? And many more questions. If they can answer these, I then tell them one secret

i am glad to have you on my page and i welcome you warmly and excitedly.

i have so many memorable stories to share with you and like my goal is to ensure that from these tales, you create your own values that will in turn change the narrative for better parenting.
most of all you dont have to like my appraoch to things or how my father trained and brought me up, but i can tell you that most of his principles and way of life has worked for me and of course i tweaked some to suit me cos of my personality, present age and so on, but all in all most of it are biblical and common sense ( depends on how you look at it)

Sometimes, we never understood why our fathers never bared their emotions. Especially in Africa where we always tell our men to close up and man up about how they feel. Most men don't know any better because tradition must be followed, Some do know what to do, but are judged by the societal standards of what's not. Only the very few are brave enough to loosen up and damn all the consequences by speaking out, getting guided and adjusting themselves to rule their world again.
i pray the narrative will change and Men will begin to ask for help and not feel that their masculinity will be questioned or trampled on.
Growing up, i saw my Dad cry (in secret) , because he was misunderstood, neglected and burdened with what people thought of him. I heard him plea with God through prayers to take away his pain and make him whole. I saw him pop so many tablets that did not seem to make him feel better. I saw him become a shadow of himself as he sometimes felt disappointed when He wanted so much attention and love and all He got was accusation, thoughtlessness, spite and you name it, from relatives and so - called friends.
you might ask, why did he not ask for help or why did he push the ones that came away - TRUST
who could he trust enough to speak with?
who could he trust enough to ask questions from ?
who could he trust enough to say how he really felt and where he could get help?
who could he trust enough that after baring it all, wont use it against him?
well, i saw all sorts, i witnessed the withdrawal from relatives and friend and i saw him dive into taking solace in pastoral work.
Apart from my mother and myself, He basically trusted NO ONE, and just wanted to be there long enough to protect us from the wolves.
You see, that man, boy or male friend that you know; be nice to them. They have so many SCARS that they don't want you to see. Be genuine in your dealings with them and they will let you in.

Do you know that most men do not know how to show emotions? Some fathers show it. while some do not how to. They have been configured or should i say constrained by culture and tradition especially in this part of the world -Africa.
One thing i know for sure is that a fathers LOVE should never be pushed aside because they hide so much scars to protect us. Both fathers and mothers have the capacity to show love to their children. We should not always think that a Mothers love is more sacrificial- BOTH ARE!!. one is just wired to be emotional in its approach and the other- logical.
Now i do not know if there is any one reading this and has been abused either emotionally or otherwise by his or her father. I want to beg you to FORGIVE!!
Trust me, i know it is a hard thing to do, but i want you to do it for YOUR MENTAL HEALTH and PEACE of MIND. so that you can live your life.
Use your story to change the narrative for yourself so that you do not pass that bitterness to your children.
I know of so many horrific tales about Fathers doing the forbidden to the children, God gave them in trust and i weep, because the Damage will take years to heal.

I appeal to you Fathers, Men, Boys - please be vulnerable with us; to let us in and not bottle up your emotions, to allow your children know that it is ok to cry and seek help.

There is only so much a man can take truly. Some carry secrets to their graves that could have been shared rather than the havoc it's causing while they are gone.
I had my fair share of love and discipline from my Daddy. Some, i always cherish, some i wish He could have told me, some i wished He had prepared me for.
But in all of this, He truly loved me and He never failed to let anyone who cares to know that I WAS HIS DAUGHTER.
I was truly LOVED- I did not truly understand not until He was GONE

so MUCH was bottled up & i now know why
