Owning and maintaining a super bike simply put is an expensive affair in general. Buying a super bike (brand new) is a usually heavy on the pocket. And that’s only the beginning! You need to think about the safety gear — the helmet, the riding jacket and pants, riding boots, riding gloves, frame sliders to name a few. The costs can quickly add up and they do. Additionally, there are recurring costs for maintenance such as mandatory service, replacing tires and other parts as necessary. Even riding gear will require replacement based on your level of usage. You may also have to factor in ad-hoc costs.

Ever since the bicycle was invented in 1817, man has been fascinated by movement on two wheels. The thrill and the convenience it offered was extraordinary. This lead to a push in innovation and the world got its first “cycle with a motor” — motorcycle in 1867! But that was only a steam powered motorcycle. But true to the nature of man, we kept toiling till we got our first internal combustion motorcycle in 1885 (it was the Germans and they have kept up with that)! Man has kept up ever since, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to finally give us the most advanced version of a motorcycle – the super bike!

Australia’s first hydrogen car comes to market, complete with charging stations in just 5 minutes. The car travels 900 kilometers with the tank full and purifies the air as it moves forward. For the first time, hydrogen fuel cell technology is being applied serialized in a commercial car and, above all, it allows for such important autonomy, with very reduced charging times. This is Hyundai Nexo, a small-cylinder car that beats all car manufacturers in the world and sets a sustainability record, with a charge of 6.27 kilograms of hydrogen that purifies 449,100 liters of air during e The journey (as much as the consumption of breathing of 33 people for a whole day) and it only emits water down your exhaust pipe. This car produces no CO2 or other polluting emissions; just think that an equivalent vehicle, with a traditional combustion engine, emits about 126 kg of CO2 at the same distance. Hyundai thus becomes the first automaker in the world to produce a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle for the market. The car is equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell system that, to generate electricity, passes the gas through a membrane structure where it meets the air taken from the external environment, a process that feeds an electric motor. The R701 is a designated national road. However, in contrast to the smooth tarmac that usually covers the surface of the South African road network, it is a dirt road that stretches for 70 kilometres from Hobhouse to Smithfield in the Free State Province, which lies right in the heart of South Africa. It is a pretty wide road, which runs straight for most parts. The surface is ribbed, a never ending sequence of bouncy bumps, where the ground has been pushed together and compressed.

Skatepark Bowl is a transition-based milieu where interwoven, flowing capsule bowls (usually made of rock hard concrete!) are charged around linking huge air tricks and high-speed lip manoeuvres in a (hopefully) continuous timed run. Each contest permutation is judged behind different criteria, which seeks to eliminate repetition or conservative trick selection and both are clearly highly-skilled and yet ever-dangerous endeavours. Accidents can and do happen, even at this elite level.
