Being mindful of our screen time and minimizing it at least an hour before bedtime is a practice that not only benefits adults but also incredibly important for the long-term health of young adolescents.

"When you eat fiber-rich foods, it produces chemical reactions in your gut that create a stronger barrier and allow the right good bacteria fighting the bad bacteria. That’s the importance of fiber-rich food. Some people may not even know that we don’t actually digest the fiber. It’s digested by our bacteria and it’s mainly for gut health--that’s also a key component of food like broccoli, greens, and all those really fiber-rich food are gonna help gut health."
