Here’s a tip that’s been making a difference in my work:

Tip: Focus on candid shots. Rather than having people pose, catch them in action—laughing, talking, or interacting with others. These natural moments tell the real story of the event and often stand out more than posed photos.

Try It: Next time you’re at an event, try what I learned from others better than me, and blend into the background and let the moments unfold. Be ready with your camera to capture those unplanned, genuine expressions.

Concerts are tough to photograph with low light and fast movement. At , I’m always learning how to handle the challenge. Here’s something that’s been working for me as I have from those smarter than me!
(Check out Instagram accounts and for two amazing examples of top talent, if you want to see some of the most amazing, creative, and sharp shots!)

Tip: I try to focus on the and use the lights for dramatic effect. I’ve found that keeping the shutter speed fast enough to freeze action helps, but it’s a . Increasing ISO can help brighten the shot, but it also risks adding noise. I’m still figuring out that sweet spot.

Try It: Take a few test shots to see how the stage lights affect your exposure. I’ve noticed that catching moments when the lights change colors or brighten can make the shot stand out.

Ok, Chick-fil-A your new is so good, it has healed my heart.
This is me and my beautiful 14-year-old daughter, and I have been having a really hard time lately and I was feeling really down. My daughter said, “Daddy, if you’re sad, what better thing to do then go have a milkshake with your daughter?” Now, that’s good logic right there!

So, we went.

The shake is amazing. The banana tastes fresh and delicious. The time taken to fresh blend in the cookie pieces kept them crunchy and perfectly contrasted to the creamy dessert.

Thank you, for bringing something tasty to our mouths, and a brief moment of joy to a dad’s heart by his amazing daughter!
