When we started this podcast, we didn’t really know what we were doing (we still don’t), we didn’t really think anyone other than our friends would listen. So imagine our surprise whenever we meet new friends and they tell us that they’re donuts?! 🥺

Medyo na-off pa ako ‘nun kasi pakiramdam ko parang gusto na n’ya akong pababain. At buti sana kung ganung kadali bumili ng kotse diba?
Tumahimik na lang din ako kasi mabilis lang naman ‘yung biyahe. Pag-dating namin, nagbayad na ako agad. Tapos inabutan ako ng mani ni tatay. Naguluhan ako, pero pag-tingin ko, ngiting-ngiti si tatay.
Tay: pampalipas gutom. Mag-ipon ka na para sa kotse.

Tay: sabay tayo. Nag-iipon din ako para sa sasakyan eh. Ano ba trabaho mo?
Me: ah singer lang po.
Tay: AYUN! (Sabay palakpak) mabilis ka lang makakaipon n’yan!
Medyo nabigla ako kasi sanay akong laging may kadugtong na “lang” kapag sinasabi kong singer-songwriter ako. Parang laging nag-hahanap ng ibang trabaho yung mga kausap ko. Pero si tatay— na unang beses akong makita at makilala, ni hindi nga nya alam kung magaling ako o hindi, parang ang laki na ng tiwala sakin na kaya ko?
Me: nako sana nga po.
Tay: kaya yan.
Stinart na nya yung motor n’ya at umandar na, sabay sigaw ng “DASAL LANG, ATE!” at nag-sign of the cross pa. Hindi nawala ‘yung ngiti n’ya.
Natauhan ako. Dasal nga kasi.

just wanted to take the time to say that I’m grateful to be juggling all the crazies of scheduling, ministry, life, and career with these weirdos who love Jesus as dearly (or even more dearly) than I do! 🍩☕️✨

We actually got to land this two-part episode in quite a beautiful way. After talking about the feeling of wanting to escape in the previous episode, we share our efforts in dealing with it in our unique ways. Things fell well into place for this one and we glad it did.

This one is something we’ve talked a little bit about before, so we took the time to expound on it for this episode. A much needed reminder for us as well. Also, we finally got to do a short episode again. Yay? 😂
We talk about the little that we know about abortion. We tried to make this one short because we also acknowledge that there are so many angles, so many conversations that are to be had.

It’s June and it makes sense how most of us are being eased into a season of transitioning into something. 🌉
Whatever it requires of us, whether that would be letting go or hopping onto something completely new, know that good things (especially ones that bring us growth) are worth the trouble. 🛤
