Farming Simulator 22 | Volcano Island | Update 5

Started the new day by delivering wheat to my ducks and chickens. I wouldn't want to starve them by forgetting to fill up the silo at the coop. Later the same day I received a call from the grain mill manager. He let me know that the first batch of flour is ready so I went there and moved all pallets to an empty shed that I own. I also received another call, from a guy who went on a trip last year and his crops withered. Asked me if I can take care of business for him which I accepted. I drove my Fendt with a plough to his field and helped prepare the ground for next seeding. The last thing I managed to achieve was to move some sorghum between two companies, as neither of them had any spare trucks at the time.

Farming Simulator 22 | Volcano Island | Update 4

My bees produced enough honey for a second pallet which I then took under the shed for storage. And finally finished taking all the cut grass to the barn. I was also able to complete some contracts for fertilizing too and deliver water to my greenhouses. I also decided I want to raise sheep on my farm and started preparing a pasture. The next day I received an offer I couldn't resist. It was to transport lime to the docks for an international buyer. Therefore, I purchased it locally, delivered it to the docks and received a hefty payment.

Farming Simulator 22 | Volcano Island | Update 3

Recently, I have been busy collecting all the grass I cut earlier and selling it to a local barn. I also sold my third batch of strawberries and second batch of tomatoes. While it wasn't raining, I managed to fertilize some more fields of other islanders for which they paid me quite well. Last, but not least, I bought the local grain mill and delivered a full trailer of wheat to make my own flour there. The start of the next harvest season is coming soon!

Farming Simulator 22 | Volcano Island | Update 2

My bees made enough honey for a full pallet. And it wasn't long until I sold it to a customer on the island. In April I was busy mowing the lawn and doing some fertilizing contracts. Everything I could have done to my fields, I had already done earlier. So I am waiting for this year's harvest season. In the meantime I will continue doing some contracting jobs here and there.

I would like to try something new on this page and that's to post some updates from the gameplay progression that has happened on stream. This is for those who may have missed the livestream and would like to know how far I have got.

Farming Simulator 22 | Volcano Island | Update 1

This update will probably be a little bit longer than the coming ones, but this is because it summarizes progress from several streams. So, I started farming on Volcano Island not long ago and already has been more than 8 months. Since I began with 3 fields, I first took care of them. I harvested the existing crops, cultivated the fields, spread lime and fertilizer and sowed barley, canola and wheat. After that I spent most of my time doing contracts, such as harvesting, fertilizing, ploughing and seeding. In autumn when the weather wasn't anymore on my side and I couldn't work in the fields I did a small tour and showcased some of the island's attractions - the volcano, the observatory, the port, the old airfield, the mine, the plane crash site and one of the two villages. I stumbled across some game cartridges which I sold to collectors for quite a lot. With the money I bought three greenhouses to grow lettuce, tomatoes and strawberries. I also bought 120 chickens and 60 ducks. After I fed them with wheat and sorghum they started laying eggs. During the winter I decided to help the municipality by clearing the snow. So I bought a snow blower and with my reliable Fendt 722 Vario did the job. The new year came and I bought another field. However, it wasn't the proper time to drill anything yet. The first produce from the greenhouses was ready, so I bought a trailer and sold my strawberries, tomatoes and lettuce to local businesses. The profit from the sale paid of the first of the greenhouses. When the snow melted and the weather got softer I continued with my contracting work. But it wasn't long when I sowed soybeans to my new field. Last but not least, I bought a beehive to produce honey in my farm.

Giants published a new article about the upcoming FS22 Premium Expansion. There even is a video by the developers, however it's in German and I can't really understand it. Cool showcase though!
