These DIY Cement floor holders were really fun to work with! I wanted to experiment with a cement mix and it looked like a fun, smaller project that might work well. I love doing things (as you could probably guess), so experimenting with new materials from time to time is a challenge. And I’m really glad, as it turned out! They sit on our coat and just hold our stockings and the design of the house only makes me smile when I see them.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a cardboard box in my life! Between moving to a new home and the convenience of online shopping (lookin’ at you, Amazon Prime!), my recycling-stack can get out of control. So my girls and I decided to do something different than just recycled-we upcycled some of our cardboard waste into a fun and magical toy castle!

While I’m definitely crazy about real flowers, I also think there’s something very special and amazing about crepe paper flowers. They just look so delicate and beautiful, and the fact that they look beautiful forever doesn’t matter. I used to share how to make a paper flower picnic basket and a paper flower wreath, but now I share how to make a paper flower wreath.

When I think of the Christmas season, I always imagine juicy garlands draped on doors and railings. I have long wanted to decorate a railing for the season, and this year it is the first time that my dream comes true! I knew I wanted to use a garland on my railing, but I wanted to move away from the traditional fresh or dummy green look.
