MAN SHOT DEAD IN REDDITCH BY POLICE

A 39 year old man has been shot dead by West Mercia Police.

Armed police shot the man dead yesterday evening (Christmas Eve) in Fownhope Close in Redditch, after 'hours of negotiation'.

FARMERS GUTTED AS SHEEP ARE STOLEN

Six hundred sheep have been stolen from fields around Kemerton on Friday.

Sheep were seen being loaded onto a lorry during daylight hours!

Police are asking for the public's help should they find cheap meat being sold.

Did you see any suspicious activity on Friday around Kemerton involving a livestock vehicle?
If so, call police on 101 asking for West Mercia.

UPDATE: They were NOT stolen after all!! 🙄

CHASE ME!! COMEDIAN NORVELLE DIES 66

80s comedian Duncan Norvelle, famous for his camp catchphrase "Chase Me!", has passed away aged 66 this morning.

We have had a disaster during the storm. We think five cats escaped, hopefully safely, but we haven't seen any in the garden yet. We will try to catch them over the next few days. We are most grateful that nobody was hurt, but we will need to repair the damage. Fundraising will need to be planned. Please support us if you can.

Thank you so much for all your help. Three traumatised cats have been found. Two still missing.

STUDENTS RESCUED FROM FLOOD COACH

Fifty seven students and their driver were rescued from their coach after it ended up in floodwater at Eckington Bridge this morning.

All 57 students heading for Prince Henry's High School in Evesham were unhurt and finally arrived at school in a replacement coach.

EVESHAM ROADS - THAT ARE STILL OPEN.....at the moment!!

As of 05:00am this Monday morning, the following roads ARE STILL OPEN, but may be closed later today due to rising river levels.

WATERSIDE (B4035) - is OPEN but river levels are up to the railings at Workman Gardens. I wouldn't consider parking my car down there at the moment, just in case!

PERSHORE ROAD, HAMPTON (B4084)- is OPEN, but the River Isbourne IS rising.

GWR - many trains have been CANCELLED already this morning from Evesham Station. Go to GWR.com/check to find out more information.

Overall, things WILL change as the day progresses.

And please remember NEVER drive through floodwater, turn around and find an alternative route.......is it REALLY worth getting stuck and ruining your car?
