Just hearing anything about the climate at all can be stressful, we get it. But it also takes a LOT from the people in the environmental field who put in efforts to ease that stress.

This can be through many different ways. Infographics, climate reports, memes...we're more in that last category.

Making eco-friendliness fun is quite the task, and not everyone's qualified to do that. The journey to do this project and build How We Can Help has been years in the making; doing the research, studying both ways to be green and to entertain in a clear and concise way.

Given the current state of the earth and all of its' wonderful people changing rapidly, we want to bring some clarity in a cool way. The Eco-Punks is filled with good stories, art and music (as well as interactive content to keep you on your toes)

Currently most of the 40 pages and the album are done, but we really need your financial help getting these books in your hands, digital or not.

THE ECO-PUNKS
A different type of planetary cool.

LAWRENCEVILLE, August 15, 2021 — THE ECO-PUNKS aims to unify comics manga under one theme: the environment. Well, that and music. With dozens of creators and stories, this anthology/album combo is the crossroads of quality and cause, while keeping the whole thing fun. It’s a turn away from the typical stress-filled headlines that many can find today.

The book will be dual-sided: comics in the front, manga in the back, with more entertaining goodness sandwiched in-between. The book goes from full on battle-action to slice of life, to comedy. One of the writers Brandon Chen, (known for God Game, Icarus Rising) is doing a 10-page manga with José Fernandez (known for Dodge). Their story involves the embodiments of mankind and mother earth, duking it out for the fate of the future. EEMapso (known for Rampid!), the comic creator doing our 10-pager in the front, will be doing a fun story about the impacts we have everyday.

Throughout there will be illustrations and even shorter-form comics. Acting as the glue in between all of these will be The Librarian, a mysterious woman that makes sense of the stories going on around her.

Both art and music add hope and inspiration to our everyday life. The sounds that will be a part of the crowdfunding campaign will take place across different biomes and bpm, made by professional musicians and composers. The goal of the companion album is to feel like you are traveling across the world, and across genres.

“It is essentially a shonen battle manga between a personification of mankind […] and mother earth. I never thought I would have the opportunity to create a… battle manga for spreading awareness for environmental issues” Brandon laughs.

“I’ve always been thinking about preservation, and helping save our planet. The idea that I can do that while furthering my craft was really incredible to me.” Gillian Abrams says. She is writing a few one-page stories for the book, and also happens to be an LA screenplay award-winner.

The production will be as eco-friendly as possible, using silk and recycled materials for the paper, while still keeping the highest quality possible.

We're live on Indiegogo! Go ahead and back it while you can 😁

THE ECO-PUNKS is a Graphic novel-type book with a twist: it's dual sided. American style in the front, Japanese style in the back (right to left), and pages sandwiched in-between!

An album will also be available! It is an Earth/Biome theme, so the idea is to feel like you're going from place to place, song to song.

The book should be shipped in three months within launch which is up to 4x quicker than the other books we've seen on the platform 😎 We're currently halfway done with production.

(For reference, a lot of campaigns take 6-12 months to make the product and get it out after crowdfunding. We're gonna do it in three!)
