THE UNTOLD STORY OF HOW AND WHY FELA KUTI MARRIED 27 WOMEN ON THE SAME DAY IN 1978 (A must read)

In 1978, the pioneer of Afrobeats, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, married 27 women in one day. This should not be strange to those who know the life and style of the Nigerian music legend nicknamed Abami Eda (strange creature).

Many of Fela’s band members became homeless after the devastating soldier attack on Fela’s commune (Kalakuta Republic) in 1977. In order to keep them together, Fela decided to do the unusual.

He gave a piece of paper to his female band members requesting the names of those that would like to marry him; the entire twenty-seven female band members put down their names.

After getting their consent, Fela Kuti married the 27 women on the 20th of February, 1978, at the Parisona Hotel in Anthony, Lagos, with the blessings of twelve Ifa priests. It was alleged that some parents of the ladies objected the marriage.

Fela married the women to protect and keep them together. The marriage ceremony was attended by Fela’s families, friends and other band members.

During the marriage ceremony, Fela rendered a short speech, pressed naira notes on his new wives’ foreheads and gave them marriage certificates. Fela embraced a rotation system of 12 wives at a time. After the marriage, Fela took his 27 wives to Ghana for honeymoon.

However, in 1986, shortly after his release from prison, Fela Kuti divorced his 27 wives on the claim that marriage brings jealousy. It should be noted that they were not forced to leave his house after the divorce; some lived with him till his death in 1997.

How to make Egg Wraps

Ingredients
Eggs
Green Pepper
Red Pepper
Seasoning
Salt
Onions
Vegetable Oil

Step 1
1. Break Egg in a Bowl
2. Sprinkle Seasoning
3. Add Salt
4. Pour Onions

Step 2
Pour green Pepper into the Eggs
Add Red Pepper
Whisk them together and set aside

Step 3
Get a pan, add little vegetable Oil
Pour Egg mixture, don't pour all immediately
With a spatula, lift your Egg and fold it in
Keep on folding till it's almost at the tip

Step 4
Shift folded egg to a side of the pan
Pour another part of Egg mixture
Fold in Egg Platter, till it's almost at the tip
Shift to one side, pour Egg mixture again

Step 5
Keep pouring the Egg mixture
Keep folding till the last fold
Drop in a plate to cool
Cut your Egg Wraps to your desired shape and serve with Bread or Rice

A girl wanted a ring. But the boy gave a teddy bear instead. In anger, the girl threw the teddy bear on the road. The boy went to take it but unfortunately was hit by a truck and died on the spot. At his funeral, the girl hugged the bear and the machine in it spoke, "Will you marry me?" Guess what she found? A ring inside it.

It is a short sad love story of love that could not bloom any more because of that tragic incident. It makes us realize that we do not have enough time and never know when we will breathe our last. So, it is best to let of the ego and the false pretenses and just make sure that you love without regrets and grab the day to live the fullest.

A VERY TOUCHING STORY

A man wanted to get married, but he didn't know whom to marry. So he prayed to God that God should open his eyes or should reveal to him whom to marry. After the prayer, God showed him a poor blind woman in his church, and told him to marry the blind woman. The man refused and still went back to God in prayers, he prayed for many times, and after the prayer, God still reveal the blind woman to him as his wife. So he had no other option than to marry the woman, they fixed a date for their wedding, so it happens that on the day of their wedding, behold! The eyes of the woman opened and she began to see, everybody was happy and some were surprised,
and from that day, the spirit of blindness was rolled away from the life of that woman. Note: God knows why he kept you in the condition or in the position you are right now. The enemy can stand against your success, but when God remember you, no demon can stop you. Dear men;
When you look at various women , there is always something that you can admire until you wish to sleep with her, something different from your wife’s. May be it is b***s especially if she is yet to breast feed, may be it is hips, may be it is her lips , may be it is her complexion, may be it is her voice etc.
If you think you can keep going for every woman you desire; you will never have enough because every woman has something desirable. It is like going into a hotel with all types of foods and you decide you want to eat all foods , you will just end up sick.
No one gets enough of wine if you think you can mix all wines, the best way to enjoy wine is to drink just one type that you really love and enjoy it forever.
Staying faithful has little to do with your woman, it has everything to do with you as a man.
It is upon you to make a decision to stay faithful for the sake of the woman you love. It is up to you to treat one woman like a queen. A kingdom with more than one queen is divided and soon it will fall.
Loving a million women amounts to nothing but loving one woman in a million ways makes you great. There is a lot of happiness in faithfulness. It is so fulfilling to love one woman above all women.
A rolling stone gathers no moss, and a man who keeps wandering from one women into another never finds true happiness in life......

I AM TOUCHED BY THIS STORY

A Guy who has no job got married to a banker, despite his fears and several advises that it's not good to marry without a job. Every month the girl Would give the guy her full salary of $80,000 after removing her tithe. The guy would give the wife $20.000 for personal upkeep and the guy determined what happened to the remaining money.

This happened for 3 good years. There was happiness in the family and the wife never refused to do her primary home duties for that 3 years, despite wrong advice from friends that 'you can't be paying the bills and still be doing all the work'.
There was a particular month the guy used
about $50.000 to travel from region to region for different interviews. He finally got a job with a good firm. His salary was $380,000 monthly for a start. He bought his first car (a brand new) for 2.2 million dollars he gave the wife the car key,& continued to take public transport to work for about 3 years. Then he bought the 2nd car for 4 million took the keys of the first car & gave his wife the keys of the 2nd car.

They eventually moved into their own house after few years. One day, the wife was looking for some documents. She stumbled on a file neatly hidden, when she opened it, she saw her wedding picture when she was very slim in the first page of the file. She then saw that the document the purchase of the land and every other thing in the house were all written in her name! At the last page was the husband's wedding picture and a note
written by him:

''MY WIFE IS ALL I HAVE GOT. NOT EVEN THIS HOUSE WORTH 100 millions AT THE TIME I BUILT IS MINE'' .
Tears started to roll down her eyes. This couple got married in 1998. Last Sunday was their wedding anniversary, blessed with 3 children. True LOVE still exists till this day. Are you sure the love you have for your partner can be compared to this one you just read? No matter what remember you chose each other.

It doesn't matter who puts food on the table or who pays the bills. Always know, NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT.
