📌PIKE DAYS REMINDERS + INFO📌

As our Borough prepares for one of its most famous traditions, I want to share a few reminders and some information for the weekend.

1️⃣ EMERY ROAD in the Richeyville sector will be ONE WAY, headed EAST towards Welsh Hill Road and the car wash.

2️⃣ EMERY ROAD PARKING will be limited to the LEFT side of the road only. No parking signs will be posted on the right side and violators will be cited. This is to ensure that in the event of an emergency, our first responders can safely navigate through the area.

3️⃣ EMERGENCY VEHICLES - in the event that an emergency vehicle approaches you on Route 40 with lights and sirens activated, please get safely to the side of the road as quickly as you can.

4️⃣ PEDESTRIANS - please be aware of all pedestrians (especially children) as they cross our roadways. If you are a pedestrian, please be aware of all vehicles.

5️⃣ Be respectful of all of our residents property. In addition, please make sure you’re placing garbage in a trash can.

6️⃣ ALLOW FOR EXTRA TRAVEL TIME. Traffic in our area mimics traffic on Greentree Hill the morning of a Steelers playoff game. No, I’m not kidding.

7️⃣ MOST IMPORTANTLY, have fun and enjoy the forecasted beautiful weather for Friday and Saturday.

Deemston Borough, Washington County PA:

Multiple first responder agencies are currently staging at Martindale Rd intersecting Barnard Road to locate a missing resident.
Some time around midnight, a 92 year old male suffering from dementia walked away from his Martindale Road residence possibly wearing a robe and barefoot.
No other info is available at this time. As of this posting (5:40am) this is still an active incident.
Anyone that may come across this male is asked to immediately call 911.

Drug charges (via Washington Observer-Reporter): Franklin Andrew Sakel, 36, and Jacelyn Michelle Benyi, 21, both of 163 Center St., East Bethlehem Township, are each charged with possession with intent to deliver, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children by Centerville Borough police. According to police, they smoked ma*****na in the presence of a 2-year-old and a 16-year-old. Police said Sakel and Benyi gave the 16-year-old drug paraphernalia as payment for baby-sitting. District Judge Eric Porter sent both to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

Yesterday was a monumental day for our congregation! As many of you know, we have been working to acquire the former Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic church in Marianna as a new home for the Marianna Christian Outreach. Yesterday, we picked up keys to the building! We are thankful to God for the opportunity to continue to serve the people of Marianna as we have in years past through the Outreach. We are thankful as well for the new and exciting ways this facility will allow us to expand our ministry! Praise God for His many blessings!
