Gentle Parenting

As a child i grew up in a generation where strict parenting style was the norm.I grew up as a disciplined person who always aim to do what is right.Yet there was a part of me that have been emotional, timid ,afraid to make mistakes and to disappoint others.
Despite of that support Gentle parenting be reinforced in raising my own child.I want to be the first person to inspire and motivate my child to believe in himself.Compassion and empathy encourages a child to express himself in an appropriate manners and be self aware.
By parents being able to manage their own emotion and not letting short temper rule over a child learn to be self confident and respectful of others.
Be gentle with words and actions yet vigilant enough to impose discipline in a positive manner.
Let's give our children a happy childhood filled with love and beautiful memories they will cherish when they grow up.

Aging Gracefully

Looking good and younger than real age , glowing skin yes absolutely cause taking care of ourselves must be a priority ! What there are more things to age as graceful as can be .Do not be a toxic person be an inspiration to younger generation

1.How well we manage our emotion on various situations and how we react to extreme scenario is something that one could have mastered during younger years.Thus as we get old we learn to be more calm, gentle and compassionate.
2.When your presence is something that excite and inspire young people cause they know they can learn important life lessons.No drama nor tantrums.
3.You can react calmly on extreme and aggravating situations and speak your mind without the need to raise a voice.
4. Being a non toxic person.Shrug off the little things and not make a big deal out of it.
5.Not reacting in an irritated manner to portray superiority or seniority.
6.A positive attitude towards life and any situations.Seeing the beauty in each person and the situation encountered.
7.Being more understanding of the situations of others and no more self centered actions and reactions.
8.Finding joy and appreciating even little gestures and effort by people who care about us.Wag naman yung binigyan na ng gift then " sana pinera mo lang " a little appreciation goes a long way.
9.Smiling more often and genuinely being happy for the joy and success pf others.
10.You can motivate others especially those who are struggling.

Life is not about how popular , prestigious or extravagant one is but more about the positive impact we have in life of other's.

For working parents like us who work at home a freelancers this is a perfect way for us to be hands on in teaching our Child and work a living.It's not easy juggling between work , home schooling and life balance but with proper time management it will gradually be better as we go on.

ANG PANGARAP KONG BARBIE

How would i forget a Dream i had when I was a little girl, nothing big but a Barbie Doll every little would want.Growing up from a poor to average household we never had the Luxury to buy what seemed to be very expensive for us.
I would remember settling for paper dolls drawn by our talented neighbor " Ate Bibi " thats supposed to be Baby but because my mom and most of our relative are Bisaya we call her Bibi instead of Baby.I would always visit their Home and request for her to draw the new model of Barbie i saw from TV and cut them out.I got a plastic bag full of them.This desire to finally own a Barbie Doll almost came to reality during a Storm (can't remember the name ) bahain ang lugar namin pasok hanggang sa 2nd floor.Sa bawat pagbaba ng baha may batang tulad ko na nagkakaron ng katuparan ang kahilingan.I will never the 2 Barbie Doll's head i collected back then.Sobrang saya ko nun cause not just 1 but 2 barbie dolls head nga lang whixh i patiently glued into sticks, then again I asked Ate Bibi to draw a dress for which I then glued to the stick .Voila i got my Barbie Collection🤸💜.
I never felt underpriviledged at that time and i would bet that my positive mindset now rooted from difficult times back then.I learn to see the beauty in every hardships and storm.
My mom's friend learned my fascination with these dolls when she saw my DIY Barbie Collection when she visited home one day.On a Holiday that year i can't remember exactly 1988 i guess she gifted me with a Barbie product the Dark colored one.No one can ever imagine how adored the doll i named her Rose the most beautiful flower in the garden.😍 From there I always believed that regardless of the color women are beautiful.I felt so blessed then.
On my 27th Birthday my husband who was my boyfriend back then gifted me with a Barbie (photo below) he remembered story i shared i felt truly special how someone would vividly remember small details of my life i just shared in passing.
Why am i sharing this story ,,, i realized that if we learn how to be grateful and appreciative no matter what the situation is the more we will be happy when something better comes along.

Sometimes we WIN.Sometimes we LEARN.

Normally we triumph over our victory when we try things for the first time or even when starting a new job or roles when all went well.WINNING is a beautiful thing and makes one feel really good But how do we normally react to challenges , difficult times or even failures ? We feel so bad , sad and feels like giving up even at the first instance. What if we look at these events in life as learning opportunity or a way to identify root cause , what went well , what did not work or how can we do better in the future.It' s amazing mindset that can work wonders and a chance to unleash more potentials.LEARNING when things don't go well or as planned is the best teacher of courage.

Today my husband and I worked on a bulk project , the result is not as we expected due to technical challenges , we used up materials and we had high wastage today.But one thing we are happy about we learned a LOT from this .And yes we regain courage to DO IT AGAIN.

It's ok not to WIN all the time, LEARNING is as significant.If it's not successful TODAY it will be TOMORROW or the next day.🙂

While we leave the stress from work or any responsibilities from the weekday during weekend, we go through Sunday Scaries not wanting the weekend to end then finally Monday comes then here comes Monday Blues a feeling of extreme sadness and laziness to start the week.
Thinking in a rationale isn't it the better to start the week right ? But how !?
Start with one self Move and let those endorphins pump up.
Physical activity help with the production of the brains feel good neurotransmitters called ENDORPHINS which is also a natural pain killer and improves sleep.
So let's start moving and beat the Monday Blues !

The Attitude of Gratitude

The Journey to finally get a job that allow me to work remotely has been a roller coaster ride.About 15 years working in a corporate world ,did a lot of hard work got promotion along the way yet i always feel a void.I had very little time left to spend with my family , i was exhausted most of the time or feels like a walking dead we call it "zombie mode " yung tipong umaasa na lang talaga ko sa magic ng kape and feeling mo kape na ang dumadaloy sa katawan ko more than blood.
Now that I finally land a job as a freelance virtual assistant that allow me to work at home i am always grateful.There are times na i feel just painstakingly tired and whine a bit just to shoo the stress away but more than anything else it's best to keep the Attitude of Gratitude

Grateful for
☑️Job that pay me competitive salary
☑️Not needing to spend time to travel to work
☑️I can wake up 30 minutes before my shift
☑️I can cook food for the family and do some household chores during lunch break
☑️Getting appreciation every now and then
☑️Pushing myself to be better
☑️Having the chance to pursue my hobby
☑️Having spare time to take care of myself

I am also forever grateful for people who served as key for me to be where i am now.
I may not be holding a high position in a company but the satisfaction with what i am doing and being able to spend more quality time with my family is a huge accomplishment for me.

I guess no matter what or where we are now the Attitude of Gratitude will keep us going and get motivated each day .Only if we see the beauty of every events and situation we encounter then we can appreciate things.

Ponder today "What are you grateful for ?"

THE MEASURE OF SUCCESS

Many years ago the young version of myself graduated from a prestigious University in Manila define success as being able to work overseas , earn big money , drive a car , own a huge house , travel and the like.I was so eager i applied to every agency that send Pharmacist overseas.My parents are very supportive and willing to fund my plans of leaving the country.So many things happened , many failures , deceitful recruiter etc to summarize things never aligned at all.
I worked in a drugstore , laboratory , hospital with very little each month that it's just almost break even .I work , earn and spend the money for transportation , food allowance and i ended up each month living paycheck to paycheck.

At this point gigil na gigil na naman ako na makaalis ng bansa pero naging palaisipan sakin para kanino at anu nga ba ang long term goal ko.Those were the days that i felt like i have been thru so many heartaches , problems, stress , physical exhaustion and anxiety til the point that i gave myself a break i resigned from my work then as a pharmacist i told myself i will find a job that gives better pay.Then i learned about the Call Center Industry better pay and new environment and i tried so hard to save for my plans.Life is just so challenging it put you to a lot of trials and hardships yet it comes with a surprise.I met my husband in the middle of chaos was young and skilled at age of 19.I felt kilig i never knew before and a feeling that i want to be with him always.But i had my reservations then i was 26 and has plans already.Ah ! Life is just so ironic i found Love for the first time when i was not looking for it.
So fast forward Today i never get to work overseas , i have been married for 13years and i have a 12 year old.Am i successful ? For some people they say were not but for me i would say YES.Why do i consider myself successful?

1.I am happy and contented , we live a simple life and enjoy little things.
2.I don't have a car that i drive but we have our own a Home which served as our shelter for many years.From scratch (bare house) and we improve it little by little.
3. I don't have a big business but i always have small one where i get to use my skills and learnings to provide service.
4.I never disturbed ,bother or trick someone to ask or borrow money to survive.
5.My husband and I are very independent when my son needed care and no one is willing to assist us , we step up and worked like a team to make things work.We never regret sacrifing things.
6.Being genuinely happy to see someone succeed and this is the best feeling ever .No bitterness at all.
7.Learning to shrug off the little things.
8.Not giving up when things do not align for me.
9.Living a decent life and being grateful each day for the gift of Life.
10.Learning how to see the positive inevery situation.
11.Having the courage to say NO to extremely impossibly bad person and get away from people who drag me down .I don't want anger in my heart so rather stay away.

For some this may not pass as measures of success but it does for me.Life is short and i feel i am successful for as long as i live in a meaningful way.

Disclaimer : My son is obssesed with car but this is not ours , he was just happy and contented to see this car and get a photo with it.He is a car genius he knows all model i don't know how cause we don't have a car🤭

NOT A DOG LOVER

As a child who grew up in a place where neighborhood just let their dogs stray and not cared for during those days, I never had good experience with dogs.I usually end up chased by dogs and as a kid i would run and many instances almost biten.
I find dogs really adorable but those childhood memories made my fear get over me.We had several dogs at home as child but im just scared as well never tried to touch them at all but i feel sadness when we lose Blackie,Silver, Goldie.
When i had my own family so we move to a new place my husband who is a dog lover got our own dog "Chichi" i never knew how caring and loyal dogs are til i met her as a puppy.
She was with us through the years with all ups and downs and so me without realizing i felt like she is part of the family who safeguard us for many years.
After 6 years "Chichi " gave birth with her cutie puppies at the time when i was home alone , i was too anxious chatting with all dog lover friends i know how can i help and ease Chichi's
pain.
We had Dalma the spotted girl, Cloud the white boy and Apa the brown colored that looks like Chichi.
I know that they are planned to be adopted and am ok with that but little did i know i have been attached with them.Only now i understood how dog lover's truly feel and love a dog especially from the moment they were born til they are sprinting.
They are turning 3 months on July 7th and the time came for them to meet their new family.
Cloud went first he is just few lots away from us but we don't get see or touch him anymore.Ahhh so this cutie got the most photos on my phone.I hope that he will be taken cared of well.In few days Dalma will be going too and Apa will left behind.I feel sad with the thought but knowing that they will be taken cared of and loved makes me feel fine.
