Aubrey’s first day of school was today and she was beyond excited to wake up for this day! She gets to stay here for an entire year and that makes me extremely happy to experience what it’s like seeing her catch the school bus for the first time ever. I’m nervous for her to make new friends and go to a school she knows nothing about but im excited for her to make new friends and memories that’ll last a life time. New isn’t bad and I’m glad she gets to do this with us in Washington! We got attacked my an underground bee hive!!!! During our roadtrip we pulled over for a quick potty break during a 16 hr drive. Shortly after Antonio got out of the car, we quickly got swarmed by a crowd of angry bees and one of those suckers fly into the car to sting our sweet girl Mileta! Emily quickly took her out of the car seat to relieve her and ran away from the car as fast as she could and was quickly got back into the car after Antonio drove the car to rescue her. Once in the car there were bees everywhere outside of the vehicle which of course all windows were locked and shut by then! Mileta pulled through quickly and took those stings like a champ thankfully and had no adverse reactions to them either! Right before we left we realized Emily didn’t have her phone and Mileta spotted it buried in the dirt right where the bees attacked us. Thankfully I was able to recover the phone without getting stung. This trip to Lake Tahoe camping along the way has turned out to be one of the most heart warming experiences ever. We have redefined what it looks like to camp and turned it pretty much upside down. Our children are our constant reminder that life is better when you just live a little more instead of being afraid of doing something out of the “norm”. They have played in dirt for hours making mud balls, pretend cakes and cookies, ran around barefoot with the grass and dirt under their feet, ate with dirt on their hands, sat through hours of car rides without much of a fuss, slept through the night, and explored with us where ever we wanted to go or they wanted to go! At the end of each day we always remembered that it’s so easy to get cleaned before bed and it’s well worth the experience of allowing children to be who they want and play how they would like to. The best thing is they really made the most of it out of the little things they had and that is what we love to see as parents. Big sister is the one little sister looks up to and Mileta does without a doubt. There are many times when we see Mileta do or say new things and of course we quickly realize who she got it from, big sister Aubrey! We tell Aubrey all the time to show her the best way to be because she is a big template for her little sister and it makes her realize the importance of her role and influence as a big sister. With being a big sister comes fulfillment because it makes her happy to know that she can help teach her ways of life just how we do as parents but in a much different way. We love our 3 girls so much and they are a huge reason we have such big and joyful hearts to help fuel our lives with them. We decided to have a dinner in our backyard and Emily brought out her robe and made the best corn ever haha. Going to #lowes with the kids is like my version of going to a playground if I was a kid. We are currently working on fixing up our pop up camper where we will be sleeping in on our family trips where ever we decide to explore! The kids love to build things with me especially since they get a chance to build something that to them is like a little pop up toy house ( Mileta literally said this). We want to make so many memories in this and it will serve what we need it for and more! One of the most beautiful feelings in the world is experiencing life with my children and showing them the meaningful things in life. The hardest things but most necessary of it all is learning to slow it down and be more aware of their needs while learning something completely new. Mileta is at a point in her life where she is wanting to do everything that she sees me doing and this is a great example of that. We are in the process of rebuilding this pop up camper so our family can begin exploring in this with the kids as a wonderful starting point to our journey in life. Emily and I always laugh and think it’s so funny when we try to get things done but at the same time we are also with the kids who want to do what we are. Let’s just say it turns into them doing most of the “work” and our job shifts a bit from an independent type of work where we can fully focus on the project or task at hand to “monitoring the kids” while they work haha. It’s a bit funny how much we want to do things along sometimes undistracted but because we don’t have any time to do that without a baby sitter we are always spitting our tasks with the children. There is a bonus to this which is, they get to learn how to exist with us and play around with what we are working on ( in a much different way) and we can show them how things work while moving a much slower pace but it bring so much fun and joy into our lives ❤️. #travel #familyfun #camper #daddydaughter #stayathomeparent #toddler #funnykid #parenthood
We had a little bit of a dance session and let’s just say I am not coordinated or synchronized nearly as much as Emily is hahaha. 😂. The first thing we do together in the mornings is spend intentional time cuddling and laughing with the kids first thing in the morning before anything else and we love it! If our day doesn’t start out like this then it’s usually because one of the kids or both of them has slept in or Emily has slept in after not sleeping to well and everything seems off .. we find time when we can to have these moments when ever we can though and it’s the best! We bought 6 smoothies for everyone and they were super delicious! There is no better addiction than the one of sweet smoothies from #jambajuice . We usually get pretty sleep deprived but the kids have a blast of a day no matter what, especially when we go to trampoline zone. I’ve figured out that the most important thing for the kids are a good routine that includes activities they actually enjoy and fits well with our lifestyle. For now we will do everything we can with the kids close by but eventually we want to explore the world with the so they can see the world. We love to go on bike rides as a family especially when something like dad landing them in a ditch happens lol. We decided to take our usual path where we would normally just swoop around the pile and the trailer makes it safe, except this time it wasn’t haha. Just by the hair of a hair, I swung it a little too far and the kids went right into the ditch and i couldn’t pull them out while in the bike so I had to get off and pull them out by hand haha.
