Today is Ag Teacher Appreciation Day! We cannot thank our ag teachers enough for their dedication and support of our future agriculturists! Delaware ag teachers not only provide classroom instruction but also give students the opportunity to work hands-on with livestock, build in the shop, grow in the greenhouse, conduct labs, and develop their leadership skills through FFA.

This work does not end in June, as most agricultural education teachers in Delaware work during the summer, too! Ag teachers are tasked with training FFA career development event (CDE) teams for summer competitions, overseeing students as they build displays for the fair, assisting students with projects for the fair, taking care of school livestock and greenhouses, teaching students how to show livestock, and hosting leadership workshops! Thank you for your year-round commitment to our students!

🚨2/18/25 UPDATE🚨We, along with our entire community, would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made their voices heard regarding the closure of Armory Rd./SR 20.

A special thank you goes to: Senator Hocker, Representative Gray, Representative Collins, DelDOT Secretary Hastings, and the office of Governor Meyer for their swift action in expediting this project.

We had a productive conversation with Secretary Hastings, and the aforementioned local legislators went above and beyond, echoing community concerns to state officials.

We, and our surrounding community, are grateful that this project will not coincide with peak summer traffic or harvest season. We are pleased that Armory Rd. will reopen mid May, ahead of Memorial Day, one of the busiest weekends of the year for this beach access route.

From the bottom of our 🧡, THANK YOU!

Good morning!

After a shoot in Smyrna a few weeks ago I did a quick ride along Prime Hook Beach Road on my way home in search of some wildlife to capture. Overall, it was pretty quiet and there wasn't much to see in terms of birds or other animals.

I did spot some ducks on my way back toward Coastal Highway, which I unfortunately flushed when I hopped out of the Jeep to try getting a photo of - this is the image I ended up with of them flying off afterward. You've got to make the most of what you get in wildlife photography some times!
