What an evening!

We hope you enjoyed the 4.5 hour journey into the mind of SO. A master at work. We are still reeling. Many thanks!

Special thanks as well to Matt Costain for his captivating warm up set. Genres, bpms and conventions laid to waste. What an opening!

A massive thank you as well to those friends who helped out behind the scenes. You know who you are, and there is no party without you. Thank you!

And finally thanks to the dancers! Everyone on the floor was absolutely there for it, locked in together. We couldn’t be happier.

We're quite frankly honoured to have Matt Costain on the bill for this party. Echoing his sentiments below, we've had the privilege of attending his parties many times over the years - and really, Alignment probably wouldn't exist as it does without Strange Signals.

Just over 2 weeks until we are joined by SO for our next edition.

The Labyrinth celebrated its 20th anniversary last week - and what a celebration it was. We wish them many returns.

Here we have a recording of SO's set from the festival in 2018. An elegant mix which twists its way through ambient, downtempo and ethereal floating grooves with the ease of a misty morning. Please enjoy x

Vini Martins' sound is rooted in his origins. Techno grooves fluidly twisting into spiralling psychedelia, his sound recalls the jungles and landscapes of his homeland, and his experiences on dance floors around the world.

His sets are deep, dark and inviting, but always with a keen feeling for the body connection on the dance floor. Over his years in Sydney, Vini has built a solid reputation for focused late night sessions, playing regularly for crews like Darkroom, Trench and of course his highly memorable closer at Strange Signals with Wata Igarashi.

We knew that Vini was perfect for our first venture into the depths when we recently heard him open for Claire Morgan under the open sky in Victoria.

Perfectly transitioning the festival from day into night, Vini’s sensibility for what the crowd wants and how to get them there was clear - and we knew we wanted more.

We look very forward to entering the spiral again next week when Vini takes the controls in everyone’s favourite basement.

In the landscape of Sydney techno, Innerspace need little introduction.

Comprised of Bloom, Josh Hoffman & Shimon Danzigar, they have been solidly plying their craft in the form of Innerspace events - exploring the deeper reaches of the techno spectrum and bringing the likes of Peter Van Hoesen, DJ Nobu, Valentino Mora & Haruka to sound systems across the city.

Equally adept at moving dance floors under their solo monikers, Bloom and Josh Hoffman will be treating us to a taste of the Innerspace sound when they grace the decks together at Alignment in a few weeks time. We invite you to stay a while, and get lost with us in their sound.

We are pleased to have Jordan Peters, purveyor of fine twisted rhythms and focussed techno trips, joining us for our first foray into the night.

Jordan runs the Immersion parties in Sydney, having brought a slew of top notch techno artists from around the world to our shores, and building a reputation for laying down mind bender sets at warehouses, festivals and clubs, most often on nothing but two turntables.

We look very forward to hearing what he has in store for us in a few weeks time.
