I am heartbroken by the recent Roe V. Wade ruling this past weekend. Women from decades before me fought fearlessly to grant future generations of women equal rights, especially reproductive and healthcare rights, and abortion is healthcare. Now, we are in the same position. We get to and have to fight for our own future plus the future of following generations. I never imagined we, as women in 2022, would have to face anything like this. This ruling doesn’t only affect reproductive rights but also other rights protected by the 14th amendment including rights for same-sex couples and in*******al couples.

I am grateful those who have had the choice in the past were able to choose, whatever the reason. I will fight for those who will need the option moving forward. This is a safe space for all individuals.

INSTAGRAM ANALYTICS —

Instagram is HELPFUL in helping you understand your content by offering us insights & analytics to study our account & reach! I know analytics can be hard to read, so I am going to break them down for you!

1. Insights overview: this is showing you the greatest overview of your account & includes ALL content types. Generally, if these numbers have GREEN under them, your account is doing well & you should keep up the good work!
-Accounts reached: the number of unique accounts that have seen your content, at least once
-Accounts engaged: the number of accounts that have interacted with your content (likes, comments, saves, shares, replies)
-impressions: ALL views of your content (unique accounts or not)

2. Content interactions: this is an overview of your account & encompasses all forms of content

3. Post insights: specific to one post (static post, reel, etc.); this helps you understand which types of content your audience enjoys & interacts with the most

4. “Select metric”: this one is fun - you can scroll through TONS of different metrics & get really specific about which metrics you want to measure. This is really helpful to understand if you are meeting YOUR specific goals you set at the beginning of your social media strategy!

I like to track all the analytics I view as helpful for each client depending on their specific goals. I do this in a simple spreadsheet & then report at the end of each month in a consolidated report to adjust the strategy if needed! I hope this helps you when tackling you Instagram strategy! ⭐️

CONTENT PILLARS⚡️

What are content pillars? Think of content pillars as umbrellas, or buckets, & assign your content topics to an umbrella! Then you will use that umbrella (the larger topic) to create content that falls under each umbrella. Basically, content pillars are topics that every single one of your posts will fall under.

Benefits of content pillars: + you niche down enough that people want to follow you, but not too much where you exclude a key member of your target audience
+ helps you stay organized & always have content ideas ready
+ create structure, cohesiveness, & consistency on your accounts & helps your followers know what to expect
+ organize your social media content in general - I always have content ideas because I can go back to my content pillars & pull ideas from there

Key performance indicators (or KPIs): a measure used to evaluate the success of an organization in meeting objectives for performance-

okay but what does that mean for social media? well, they are metrics you can track to evaluate your current strategy!

here are some of the most common/useful:
+reach
+engagement
+ROI
+loyalty

Make sure to choose the ones that make sense for YOUR business. You can do this by going back to your goals & see which indicators you can use to measure your goals!

Social media is a lot of work- don’t stretch yourself too thin by trying to show up on every single platform. Determine you target audience & then focus on the platforms they are on!

let’s talk about PINTEREST!

Pinterest fast facts:
+ it’s a search engine
+ one of the least utilized “social media” platforms
+ easy to be seen by lots of eyes!
+ constantly growing & improving!

my biggest tip for Pinterest: use keywords b/c it is a search engine (think Google)!!

some other Pinterest tips:
+ post new pins as frequently as you can
+ update old content with new pins
+ repost pins to new boards
+ utilize group boards
+ keep track of which types of pins do best using the analytics tool
+ use the Pinterest trends tool to see what’s trending in your niche
+ remember Pinterest requires a lot of trial & error

Pinterest is one of my favorite platforms. There is so much to learn, but I will share as much info as I can as time goes on.

Social media can be A LOT! Whether you are just a user or a creator or a business owner. On social media, there are so many opportunities - growth, connection, promotion but also comparison, pressure, & feeling overwhelmed.

Personally, as a social media manager, it is easy to follow the pack & kinda do what everyone else is doing. While that’s not the worst thing & it’s good to understand what’s working for others, it is also to remember these platforms are supposed to showcase YOU & your experiences, expertise, skills, life, etc.!

I know “be yourself” is SOO annoying to hear, but I think I have been learning what it truly means. I don’t want to follow everyone. For example, I don’t want to post what anyone else can post. While the information is helpful, you can find it anywhere. On this platform, I want to be able to offer valuable information & tips but in a way that is customized to my brand & what I am trying to accomplish.

With all of that being said, I wanted to encourage you to do the same for you & your brand. Don’t promote content that anyone can post. Make you content special to you! I promise you will feel more refreshed & true to yourself. In turn, your followers will feel a special pull to your brand. & again, I can’t say this enough - be consistent. Consistent with your schedule, your brand, & your content!

why YOU should batch content for your business:

SAVE TIME! this is probably the biggest reason. seriously though, this will save you so much time. i like to batch content weekly, but you could do biweekly or even monthly.

YOU WILL HAVE ALL CONTENT PREPARED! content requires a lot of work, time, & consistency. batching content all at once reduces stress, ensures consistency, & makes your life easier.

PLAN IT OUT! batching content requires a plan. a plan usually requires a strategy. a strategy usually ensures growth toward your goals!
