Gram Parsons was a guitarist and singer who, as a member of the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers, along with his solo releases, helped invent "country rock" and "Cosmic American Music." Gram Parsons' career was tragically cut short when he died at just 26 from a drug overdose in 1973.
