Looks like the First bus to Balerno will continue with a reduced service.

Councillors have been told First Bus is "not minded" to continue its arrangement with the council and services are expected to be reduced from next month.

📟 08.45pm Tuesday 2nd August the crew at Queensferry RNLI were tasked by the UK Coastguard to assist a speed boat experiencing engine failure close to Longcraig Pier.

The volunteer crew towed the vessel and its two crew safely back to the Hawes Pier.
Assisted with South Queensferry Coastguard they performed the recovery onto the owner's trailer.

During this tasking, another of our volunteer crew managed to bake a cake and have it iced ready in the station...the rest is history.....! 🍰

The food was incredible and they were talking about the huge demand on their home delivery service they are trialling at the weekend. We hope you pull through. The food and service was amazing. I enjoyed the best steak I've ever eaten... 😋

Hello all you legends!
We hope you’re all holding up well.. think realisation has sunk in now. No other way but to deal with this bastard head on!
Just a wee progress update regarding our change of operation 🙂
1.local taxi drivers ready and waiting to deliver
2. “Shack Thunder” our external fully kitted kitchen is a day away from completion. This was originally a summer plan to deal with the queues..but we realised operating from outside is a much safer plan for everyone
3. Our personalised app will be done in a day or 2. You place all orders and place all payments through the app. We will update you all when it’s ready so you can download it
4.New menu coming your way with some new additions!
All deliveries will be placed on your doorstep, doorbell rang and driver will ensure you’ve received your order before before leaving but space will always be respected. We will only be delivering to SQ, Kirkliston and Dalmeny ! If your out with this place a TA order and hop in the car, God knows you’ll be bored!
Takeaway will operate in the same manner. Completed orders will be placed on a picnic table for pickup with your name attached under our heated canopy. Again no immediate contact.

There is plenty of space within the marina and our outdoor area to respect the social distancing recommendations.. please respect this 🙂
Also, this is relatively new territory for us...we’ve never done delivery or operated this way. We ask that you all bare with us in the beginning... we will pick it up, and make sure you get your good good scran!

OH YEAH, PRETTY IMPORTANT TO MENTION OUR OPERATING HOURS WILL BE CHANGING FROM 9:30 AM TO 9PM !

Come on in – we’re open!

We wanted to take a moment to update you on the steps we have already taken and continue to plan for concerning Coronavirus (Covid-19).

These are exceptional times and we would like to assure you that our team is working hard to maintain the wellbeing of all staff and customers.

We have heightened all our health and safety procedures and increased the frequency of spot checks and cleaning as a preventative measure. Maintaining our impeccable standards of hygiene at all times is of utmost importance and we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of those around them.

We have also spaced out the distance between tables to enable social distancing and will continue to follow and implement the latest Government guidance including NHS guideline on Covid-19 which can be found here:

At the moment, Craigie’s Farm and Farm Shop remains very much open and we are doing everything possible to support our customers during this time such as providing local grocery deliveries within EH30, EH29, EH28, EH49, EH4 & EH12 areas. A collection service can also be arranged where orders can be collected from our car park. Hello friends! We’re still open as usual and keeping everything extra clean! We had a few people messaging us orders yesterday and paying over the phone which was amazing. We’d also like to remind people that we sell gift vouchers too. They usually come with 6 months limit on them but we’ve extended them to a year and we’re happy to deliver locally or post them out!
