Hello! Welcome to Second Wave…
In short, we are a fierce friendship duo, bonded almost entirely on our passion for three things: live music, discovering and supporting newer artists, and sharing our love for the first two things with other people.
We originally met during our first year of college, but it wasn't until we reconnected in our third year that we discovered our joint appreciation for music. Just like that, an unstoppable friendship of understanding was born; after introducing each other to like-minded friends, we began a four year long journey of travelling the length and breadth of the country, living off of service station Subways as we built up an extensive gig list and discovered countless new bands along the way.
And that lands us here; a pair of twenty-somethings quickly realising that all the experiences we have built up throughout our teen years, right through to this very moment, are destined to lead us somewhere bigger than the middle of a mosh pit. If there is one thing we love more than music, it's sharing it with other people. From two music fans to the rest, we're doing our part to make sure the stuff that deserves to get heard is heard by those who deserve to hear it!
Second Wave is having a slightly delayed introduction to Facebook than it has the rest of the world, as we've spent the past month battling with Facebook over the name 'Second Wave' and how they really didn't want us to use it. For you lucky lot that means two things:
1. You get to laugh at our last resort page name, 'Second Wavy Gravy', for now and the rest of eternity. Good thing we like gravy eh!?
