Today we're bringing you the story of one of the largest bank robberies in Vegas history. In December of 1998, Timothy Blackburn and Robert Bates robbed a Bank of America ATM repository.

After being captured, Blackburn escapes with the help of his wife and goes on the run with his family which culminates in a hostage situation at the Budget Suites on Boulder Highway.

Kirstin Blaze Lobato spent 16 years behind bars for a crime she did not commit.

Kirstin was found guilty of the murder of Duran “St. Louis” Bailey based on circumstantial evidence. Wounds sustained by St. Louis were similar to Kirstin’s story of self-defense, both involving mutilated ge****ls.

In December of 2017, Kirstin was exonerated for the crime due to no physical evidence with the help of , their 200th exoneration.

Meet Jillian! Jillian didn't move out of the 89117 zip code until college. She spent a decade in DC, and a few years in Brooklyn, and now she's back in Vegas. A bit of a Jill of all trades, she's interested in data, storytelling, and being outside. During the day, she is treasuring her role as a legal assistant for access to court records and freelancing as a data analyst. When she isn't handling legal matters, Jillian can be found doing yoga, climbing a mountain, soaking up sunshine, or organizing her incredible wardrobe.

Meet your hosts! 👋 First up we have Karlie, a 4th generation Vegas native who was the first person in her family to ever move out of the valley. She spent 10 years in the PNW followed by a short stint in Denver. Now she's back in Vegas with her husband (shout out to our producer, Michael!) and their small army of cats. By day, Karlie leads a learning team for a tech company and essentially talks to people for a living. When she isn't working, she is usually playing pinball, reading a book about something weird, or discovering a new recipe.
