Lil Nas X and MSCHF’s ‘Satan Shoes’, with human blood inside, face Nike’s lawsuit
After releasing a satanic video for ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)’, the American rapper has dropped 666 pairs of modified Nike Air Max 97s in collaboration with Brooklyn art collective MSCHF. The controversial sneakers feature an inverted cross, a pentagram and the words ‘Luke 10:18’, and they even contain a drop of real human blood mixed with the sole’s red ink.
Now, Nike has sued the company, arguing they never authorised the customised shoes. "There is already evidence of significant confusion and dilution occurring in the marketplace, including calls to boycott Nike in response to the launch of MSCHF's Satan Shoes, based on the mistaken belief that Nike has authorised or approved this product," said Nike in its filing.
