is one of the most anticipated events of the year in Big Sky. Last year, we were lucky enough to capture some of the action and talk with the athletes and the fans as they saddled up, clicked into their skis, or bundled up with a hot toddy to watch the race.

For this project, wanted to tell a little bit of his story. His move out to Montana from Idaho, the first time he saw Lone Peak, his love for skiing, and his passion for teaching skiing with .
We had a great time following him around shooting for this video and learned a lot about what all goes into making a ski resort accessible to skiers with disabilities.

The film follows chance as he attempts to link together two of the most iconic ski ascents in the country via bicycle through over 400 miles of elaborate backroads. Things don't always (almost never) go according to plan on this adventure, but nonetheless we managed to have some fun and arrive in time to race in the stage race at the base of Mount Shasta. Big thanks to all the sponsors and individuals that provided support and worked so hard to make this film happen. We couldn't have done it without you.

We are very fortunate to work with in curating video assets for the performing arts. We have shot everything from small group shows to virtual shows and outdoor performances.
With the landscape of in-person arts having changed so dramatically over the past year, it has been a small sliver lining to be able to help bring to life creative solutions that allow people to continue to experience the arts in safe and engaging ways.

For this project, The Hungry Moose Market and Deli wanted to design a billboard that embodied the spirit of the Hungry Moose and of Big Sky. Featuring local shredder Kate Murphy smiling big, mere minutes before heading up to Big Sky Resort to ski one of the first big storms of the year.
Though Micah Robin Creative specializes in video production, capturing a still image to tell a whole story is always a fun and welcomed challenge.
Great to work with Moose marketing extraordinaire Emma Shannon and local graphic design firm Peak Creative Designs on this collaborative project.

We shot this video with @chase.samuels back in the Summer of 2019. For this quick overnight mission, we loaded up our gear and backpacked in the night before to camp at the lake in Beehive Basin. We headed out from camp in the morning to ski one of the most iconic lines in the Spanish Peaks: the 4th of July Couloir. It was late July so the main shoot was pretty narrow, but it turns out the grassy cascades and rock slabs below were almost as fun to ski as the perfect summer corn above. @incline_optics
Steele Yoga and Wellness is a new yoga and wellness studio out of Big Sky, Montana. @shansteele founded the practice and offers unique backpacking yoga retreats in the beautiful landscape surrounding the small mountain town. In addition, their videos also provide insight into her teachings, research, and practice. For this video project, Shannon held a free sunset community yoga session and allowed us to capture the practice on film. Earlier this year we produced a short film that was slated to premiere at the SWMBA Spoke n’ Trail Film Festival this season. Unfortunately, the event couldn’t be held due to Covid. However, I am stoked to be sharing the final film online. I was lucky to be able to collaborate with some very talented mountain bikers, a hard hitting musician, a brilliant graphic designer, and the best remote control monster truck driver I’ve ever met.
