To all y'all fishing in the Vincent Conti Memorial Fishing Tournament. Weigh-ins are open at Hickories park pavillion #1 and will end promptly at 4:00pm. Weigh-ins will also take place tomorrow at the same location from 12-4 pm..You must be in line no later than 4 pm for your catch to qualify.....Also ..Tomorrow beginning at noon(12pm) The family of Vincent Conti are hosting a pulled pork dinner to help raise money for the scholarship in Vinnie's name !! Stop by and support the family and a great cause ...Just 12 bucks gets you a great meal !! Donations will also be gracefully be accepted.Thank you for your support and good luck to all that have entered the tournament!!!

We are so thankful to this year’s host, Southern Tier Fishing, for our 4th annual Vincent Conti Triple Threat Memorial Fishing Tournament.

You may be asking yourself, “Who is Vincent Conti?”, “Why a fishing tournament?”, and “Why so much emphasis on mental health awareness?”…

In 2020, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, was one of the estimated 45,979 people who died from su***de in the United States.

Across the globe, almost 800,000 people die to su***de every year, nearly twice the number of those who die from homicide.

Of those deaths, approximately 75%-80% are from male deaths. Males are 4x more higher than females to commit su***de.

These staggering numbers are appalling and heartbreaking. The family and loved ones of Vincent Conti knew that after the loss of their beloved brother, son, uncle & friend, they couldn’t not carry on the love and legacy Vinnie had still in him to share.

If you knew Vinnie, you know the deep love he carried for all people. He was a generous, loving and caring friend to everyone he knew and even to those he just met.

Born and raised on the Susquehanna River, Vinnie had a deep love for adventure and fishing from a young age. Vincent’s love for the water and the peace he felt out on the water in his boat, or on the banks were perceived by many to be some of his favorite moments…

You never know what someone is truly going through in their mind. If you or a loved one is struggling with a mental health battle, please seek professional help. We want to help break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

After Vinnie’s passing in 2020, some of his friends had asked to host a fishing tournament in his honor. This was a sincere and kind invitation to honor the life of Vinnie, while providing an opportunity for the community and loved ones to gather together. Fishing brings an opportunity to free up your mind from mental strain while enjoying the beauty of water and the serenity of nature.

Fishing has always been an important part of Vinnie’s life and on behalf of his family, we are honored to carry on his legacy through the journey of this significant event.
