On the outside, Cool Turtle seems to have everything: he is tough, smart and loved by all. But he doesn't always feel this way... when Cool Turtle forgets his shell, it seems like nothing can go right, and he loses all belief in himself. Luckily for Cool Turtle, Miss Beautiful Butterfly is there to listen, and to his surprise, she helps him realize that the confidence he needed was there all along.
Cool Turtle's Important Life Lesson teaches children valuable lessons about self-esteem, reminding them that while we all doubt ourselves sometimes, how we feel on the inside doesn't always reflect how things really are.

But what if there was a way to turn things around?

Her knowledge is gleaned from a ten-year journey that included five rounds of IVF, caused many personal and medical challenges, and led to her mental health spiralling out of control. It’s no secret that children experience anxiety and stress, just like grown-ups do. The only difference is that adults know what they’re feeling, and they often have the self-care techniques to cope. It’s time to give kids the same tools – and that’s precisely what Alyssa Caparaso Hurley provides in A Wallop of Worries.
This book teaches children a slew of techniques, from sensory mindfulness to positive thinking to words of affirmation, to help them through tough times. All her self-care tips and uplifting mantras come in easy-to-remember rhymes, so kids will have no trouble repeating them when they feel overwhelmed. In the end, young readers will realize they can work with their minds to let go of the wallop of worries they feel – and get back to being their happy, de-stressed selves once again.

🦋 COVER REVEAL 🦋
We are thrilled to share the gorgeous cover for Sarri Gilman's Cocoon, which we'll publish on 3 August 2023!
Here's a bit more about this inspiring book...
***
Sarri Gilman noticed a problem. Many of the teenage students attending the Everett, Washington, school where she worked had nowhere to go at night. She then realized they were victims of a devastating loophole in the state’s system, which provided housing for younger children and adults who were homeless, but had no space for teens.
What happened next was not in Sarri’s career plan, but the marriage and family therapist could not turn her back on the problem unfolding around her. Instead, she became the executive director of a non-profit organization, Cocoon House, which served – and continues to serve – as a home for the most vulnerable teens in her community, giving them the chance to find stability and a new lease on life. Cocoon is her unbelievable, inspiring and true story.

One Year of From Prognosis to Peace
One year ago, we had the honour of publishing Lara Rodwell's From Prognosis to Peace.
Although this book has all the trappings of a journal, it's more than that. It's a reflection of Lara's own experience, seeing her father receive a bleak prognosis and deciding to accept what was ahead – and take advantage of the precious time they had left.
She didn’t want there to be a single question she didn’t ask him, a meaningful memory they didn’t reminisce over, or anything about his life she didn’t know. She longed to have a physical keepsake of the relationship they shared. And she took every chance she had to tell him how grateful she felt for everything he had given to her.
Her book, full of thoughtful prompts, space to write and stories of her own, is designed to inspire readers to have the same talks. Using her delicate foresight and compassion, she encourages an authentic and honest conversation around death, loss and grief. It is a wonderful companion to have with you in the hardest of times – or share with someone navigating their own grief.
As always, you can pick up a copy of Lara's book via TriggerHub: https://triggerhub.org/product/from-prognosis-to-peace/
