Hullo friends! Today sees the release of Lava Fangs’ new single and first release through Cheersquad Records!!

We made this video ourselves with our friend Tony and borrowed real cameras from Katie Fairservice and cool lights from Ross Koger!

It’s a song Andrew Horne and I wrote together and Wesley Fahey sings it and directed and edited the video!

Keep at least one eye open for another single and video in a month’s time then our new album Sub Auroram on LP and streaming in May!

A message from the drummer:

10 listeners last month. That’s both more than I expected and a bit s**t at the same time!!

Pop on over to Spotify and listen to some of the large range of music I have there. It’s true that I haven’t released anything since Ducking in October 2021 but it’s still a surprisingly decent album even if I do say so myself.

Part of the reason for my quiet period is a new album and a bit’s worth of Lava Fangs songs and some soundtrack work.

Stu Manchu and His Chosen Few is a career introspective, chronicling the unheralded step sideways from local obscurity to minor inconspicuousness.

After 25 plus years making noise in a multitude of Melbourne outfits, Stu Manchu (Lava Fangs, Sons of Lee Marvin, Fez Perez) is attempting yet more folly in debuting a (sort of) solo venture.
With help from His Chosen Few - Wesley Fahey (Lava Fangs) and Pugs Lygncoln (Lunatic, SOLM) - Stu will be drawing on tracks from a long, anonymous and un-storied career.

And, like all compilations, the set will include be a smattering of new material that remind everyone why they like your old stuff better than your new stuff.

Friday 2 July, Swamplands, 744 High Street, Thornbury from 9pm, with Waco Social Club and Mantis & The Prayer. Limited capacity.
