QOTD: What's your fav TV show?

Jane The Virgin was a door to the Latinx diaspora for me. The show is very good at representing the latinx community and portraying brown girls and undocumented immigrants in the US.
Gina Rodríguez is by far my favorite actress. She’s a first-generation American and Puerto Rican descendant, and even though you may know her for her most famous roles on TV she’s also an activist for the rights of the latinx community. Follow her to find out about her amazing job amplifying black voices on social media.
I loved the show so much that when it came to my attention that Jane’s book existed I didn’t hesitate to buy it. Characters’ names, time and setting are different but the story is the same as the show. It’s a light and nice read most fans like me will enjoy.
If you still haven’t watched Jane The Virgin I highly recommend you to: it’s not just a great source to learn more about latinx culture but also a hilarious American-produced telenovela about the importance of family.
