Flag Football 🤝 Good Causes

We’re hosting a Tournament!

In recent times some of our Revs family have had the unfortunate brush with cancer. And to show our support we wanted to host a charity tournament to raise money for Ovacome - this is a charity for ovarian cancer.

All money from the entry fees bar some small tournament running costs will be donated.

We’re hoping for a fun event for a great cause.

More news from British American Football Association as Coach Kenny takes over the DiSE programme.

Kenny Bello has been appointed to lead BAFA’s Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme.

Last summer, BAFA secured significant funding to develop ten talented young athletes on a two-year Flag Football development programme, and Kenny has agreed to replace his role as BAFA non-executive director to lead the programme. Kenny also takes the helm as head of BAFA's Youth Flag competitions.

Changes highlighted related to:
1. Matters regarding the Head of Flag and the Flag Football Advisory Committee
2. Changes to adminstration of NFFL & Youth Flag Football Competition
3. Tender for future Flag Football Competition Management
4. The British Flag Officiating Federation
5. Suspension of Regional Programme Suspension for 2024

Last night BAFA Flag Commission Lead Kyle Taylor announced his intention to step down from the governing body. In his email Kyle stated:

"I can now announce that early this year, I made BAFA aware of my intention to depart the organisation. There are a multitude of reasons why but key are that I want to maximise the positive impact I can have on the game and after significant consideration believe I can do so best and most flexibly as a BAFA partner, additionally as we look to move towards a new structure I believe the time is right to step aside and make room for the new.

I'm very proud of the great deal that this Commission has achieved and believe we have made great strides in improving the game we love in spite of significant constraints and challenges. I want to thank everyone for their support but most importantly Mike, Lewis, James, Phil, Jed and Rick for countless voluntary hours and late nights in the long haul."

In a good weekend for tournaments, the Coventry Panthers Flag American Football Team claimed the silverware at Flagna Carta, hosted by the Lincolnshire Longhorns Flag American Football.

Our A team, a mixture of rookies and experienced players, made a statement early on in the tournament by putting up big scores and coming out on top in the group stage 💪 After a bye in the quarter finals, under the Saturday night lights they overcame strong competition against the in the semi finals and went on to winin the first of many Coventry derbies this season against the , taking home a nice bit of silverware 🏆🏈
