: Federal University Lafia Submits To NUC's Order, Announces Resumption Date

The Federal University Lafia (FULafia) has, without hesitation, expressed its readiness to resume academic activities on its campuses.
The university management released a circular in the early hours of Monday, sequel to the latest directive given by the Federal Ministry of Education, through the National Universities Commission (NUC), commanding all vice-chancellors to re-open their institutions immediately.

The University slated October 10, 2022, for resumption of lectures.

Congratulations to students of FULafia as we wait for the rest public universities to follow the lead.

“If Muslims in the North don’t trust a southern Muslim for any reason(s), why should Christians in Nigeria trust a Muslim from the South and North?”

"Christians should seek for alternative party in 2023, the APC looks like a janjaweed party."
"APC wants to disintegrate Nigeria like Yugoslavia and USSR."

"Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to my people . Truth must be told, anyone who is not bringing us together is consciously tearing us apart."

It's now clear that Peter Obi is running for president of CAN —Adeyanju Deji

“Peter Obi is moving up & down churches, as if he is running for president of CAN. It is painful when people who should understand politics are acting like amateurs. The church must resist the religious card in 2023 because if it goes south, our other brothers will mock her. Take it easy on the religious card. If not the country will become extremely divided along religious lines in the coming months. Slow down with all the talks of same religion ticket. A word is enough for the wise.

All is not well with Nigeria —Yakubu Gowon speaks about peace

“In spite of the distraction, I want to urge Nigerian youths to stay courageous. Violence has never solved any problem; channel your energy to things that are productive.

“Whatever talent you have; be it in health, technology, entrepreneurship and so on and so forth, stay dedicated and do what you can as youths to give back to the nation. By so doing you’d be building the nation.”

“in a society where majority are youths, I believe it is important that government has plans for them by having an enabling environment and put in place policies that will keep them engaged.

“I believe that we all have a role to play as leaders, our youths should work as a unit with government; violence doesnt solve anything, rather, be ambassadors of peace wherever you are.”

Insecurity: Buhari may be in covenant with his appointees that's why he don't want to sack them – Shehu Sani suggests

“The President is weak when it comes to sacking his appointees who have failed his Government and the nation at large.

“He retains them, and is bonded to them like a blood covenant, at the cost of his reputation and the fate of the nation,” he tweeted.

EXCLUSIVE: 2023: Obasanjo Woos North For Obi/Baba-Ahmed Presidency

A former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is reportedly out to woo the North for the presidential ambition of flagbearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Sources that spoke with Telegraph claimed that the elder statesman has met with various individuals and critical groups in the North to support Obi.

A chieftain of a prominent group in the North who spoke with the platform on condition of anonymity said, “It is true that former President Olusegun has commenced visits to numerous personalities and groups in the North to drum up support for the Peter Obi and Datti Baba- Ahmed presidential ticket in the North. This fact I can confirm.”

The source further stated that the move by the former president has yielded minimal fruits because the people of the region are wary of the possibility of an Obi Presidency to the long-time interest of the region (North).

The source further stated, “Baba (Obasanjo) has been visiting people here in the North to market the candidature of the Labour Party, telling the people and the groups that he has visited to consider the likelihood of the Presidency going to the South East next year.

“He has been telling us that Obi would not do anything to injure the interest of the North if considered by our people to become the President. He told us that a similar thing had happened in the past that didn’t injure the interest of the North.

“Our people told Baba that the issue of secessionist agitation in the South East is a source of worry to them.

“Baba replied by saying the militant agitation in the South-South died down and has never reared its head again since Jonathan became president. He (Obasanjo) told stakeholders that the emergence of Obi would halt the agitation.”

Another source said Obasanjo is not making serious headway in his efforts owing to what he termed age-long suspicion that the North has for the South East but that “things

Muslim-Muslim ticket: Don't listen to those who want to destroy Nigeria —6 Tinubu sends message to new CAN President, Okoh

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has congratulated Archbishop Daniel Okoh, General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church (Odozi-Obodo), on his election as the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Tinubu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement by his Media Office and signed by Mr. Tunde Rahman.

Recall that CAN had on Thursday formally validated the election of Okoh as its new President.

Tinubu, who noted that Okoh is a worthy successor to Ayokunle, also lamented the current security situation in the country, saying Nigeria is in a critical moment where misguided and terrible actors attempt to destroy social harmony and reign violence on everyone.

The former Lagos State governor said: “I congratulate Rev. Okoh on his election as the new President of CAN. Rev. Okoh has truly distinguished himself as the deputy to Rev. Ayokunle.”

Tinubu added, “As a nation, we are in a critical moment where misguided and terrible actors attempt to destroy social harmony and reign violence on us all.

“These awful forces seek to stoke religious and ethnic divisions in the hope of pitting Nigerian brother against Nigerian brother. Decent and good Nigerians of all faiths must ally again with such designs.

“As Rev. Okoh assumes the mantle of leadership, it is my hope and prayer that his tenure brightens every corner of our country and may he be a shining light to all.”

BOOM 💥

The issue of Religious Bigotry did not start from the North

Let's go back to 1962, when a Northern Muslim, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa registered Nigeria as a member of the World Council of Churches and International Bible Society in 1963, no complain from the Muslim North.

Saturday was a working day in Nigeria until 1973, Gowon, a Christian minority from the North declared it a work free day, to enable the Seventh Day Adventist Church to worship, no complain from the Muslim North.

In February 1979, Olusegun Obasanjo denied Ahmed Deedat, an Islamic Preacher, entry into Nigeria, no complain from the Muslim North.

In 1982 pope John Paul II was welcomed to Nigeria by a Muslim, Alhaji Shehu Shagari.

Reinhart Bonke, a Christian Crusader, had a free enterance to Nigeria at will, no complain.

Abacha welcomed Pope John Paul and established Papal Square along Kubwa express way, no complain from Muslims.

But in 1986 when Babangida registered Nigeria as a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) there was a riot in Lagos, Portharcout, Enugu, orchestrated and organised by CAN.

Pls who are the Religious Bigots?

Just recently, the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs distanced itself from all kinds of politics, but what about CAN?

In 2013, a Private Jet belonging to the CAN President was intercepted in South Africa loaded with foreign currency, imagine it belonged to the Sultan?

So people of God, let's ask ourselves who are the real Religious Bigots before we make another major mistake as a people.
