🤸🏻 The U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Trials Turn into Chaos

Top athletes are getting injured one after another.

🔸 At the Olympic Trials in Minneapolis, 19-year-old Skye Blakely was the first to be eliminated. This is her second consecutive setback; in 2021, she also withdrew from trials due to an injury during warm-ups.

🔸 During the pre-competition warm-up, Shilese Jones injured her knee on the vault. It appeared serious, and she was assisted off the apparatus and taken backstage.

🔸 While the extent of Jones's injury is yet to be determined, Kayla DiCello is definitely out—another Achilles injury for the team. Something went wrong during her vault run, causing her to perform a simple backflip instead of the planned double twist. She fell on the mat and cried out in pain.

These three incidents occurred within the first half-hour of the event. Naturally, this affected the remaining competitors. Watching colleagues, even direct competitors, get injured is distressing—it could happen to anyone.
