In 2014, a 62-year-old Chinese woman, identified as Mrs. Zhao, underwent surgery to remove a bullet that had been lodged in her skull for 48 years without her knowledge. She sought medical attention due to chronic nasal congestion, headaches, and swollen lymph nodes. Doctors at the First Hospital of China Medical University in Liaoning province discovered a metal object inside her nose, which was later identified as a 2.5 cm long bullet.
