This month makes a year I have been single and it has been the first time I have been single since I was 19 years old and its been absolutely amazing. You really have to work on yourself, understand yoursef, heal your ish, and be comfortable by yourself.

I heard a therapist say, there are women who go with men who they dont have a deep and genuine connection with because they dont want to fall in love, they want to be in emotional control at all times. They do not want to be vulnerable. And when he said that, I was speechless. I was like whoa, that defines every relationship Ive been in, how did you know that? Love and relationships epitomize vulnerability.

A year later, I have done so much work and I can say I am open to love and connection. So I would strongly suggest to many to date yourself, heal, love yourself completely before seeking a partner to complement you. My partner when I meet him is going to be a freaking badass and he is going to get the Iyandra that no one has ever gotten before.

I was working out today and listened to a podcast where Stephen was on and BOY, oh boy he said this:

There is incredible vulnerability required to have a deep and genuine connection with someone, you either have a connection or you don’t. Connection is felt very strongly instantly, it is your spirit recognizing its match. There are persons who will enter in relationships, long term relationships with persons they don’t have a deep and genuine connection with because of fear that emanates from their childhood trauma and/or lack of healing from past circumstances. So bc of the fear of disappointment or the need to maintain emotional control, these persons will go with partners that are safe but partners that do not give them sparks so they don’t have to expose the vulnerability needed for such a deep and genuine connection. These persons have a history of going back to their ex’s knowing there is no genuine and deep connection there but knowing that it’s safe there and they can maintain emotional control and they don’t have to be vulnerable or fall “in” love. Healing is therefore required for these persons in order to open theirselves up to receiving such a connection. And then he said, compatibility, connection, and chemistry are absolutely critical, but compatibility (surprisingly) is the least important of the three. He said, people go wrong because they choose partners based on compatibility (we like the same things, etc.) but these people find themselves miserable because they're compatible (they're great friends, like the same things), but they don't have the connection: and everyone is saying, but "he's such a great guy, he likes you", and you're miserable in the relationship bc you're not connected to the person.

God I am speechless, when he said that I was like 😟😟🤫🤫🤔🤔,
The worst position to be in, to be with a great person but you just don't have connection with, and many people don't fathom/understand that.

Great interview on the School of Greatness with Lewis Howes. So grateful for healing and awareness. In order to be fully committed and vulnerable in a relationship, you have to work on yourself first and foremost.

I try my hardest to not listen to “relationship experts” so when I saw Stephan Labossiere was on a podcast I listen to religiously, I was like nope, not listening. And then he was on another podcast of a guy I admire incredibly and I was like what is with this guy, why is he in my leadership/vibrations/personal development world. And so I put my headphones in and listened to the episode when I was working out today and BOY, I felt like he was reading me, he just called it out:

I had a great book club discussion this morning where we talked all things Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now. If you know me, you know that Eckhart Tolle’s work changed my life. No exaggeration, I discovered Eckhart in 2015 but truly studied him during the years 2017 and 2018, there is a clear distinction between Iyandra pre-2017 and Iyandra post, although I grow every day, Iyandra pre-2017 was a very different person quite unrecognizable to the Iyandra post and Eckhart Tolle greatly influenced that. It was so nice to begin discussing with the amazing women in my book how powerful living in the present truly is.

I was on a panel in a CH room where professional women were asked what attracts you to a man, such a fun room. Every woman is different but for me what has always been attractive in a man is confidence, not dangerous confidence or arrogance (because thats just obnoxious) but confidence in who they are and the value they bring. I love men who are so confident they can achieve and obtain anything they desire, kind of like an ambitiously-driven confidence. Its a swagger that just drops off a person, where you can see how secure they are with who they are.

Having said that I believe women should understand you attract who you are...I very much believe in vi rations; vibrations operate in alignment. I want someone that has a good appearance, is kind and caring, emotionally free and available, happy and in good health, financially independent, spiritually grounded, and committed to their personal growth = I am all of these things and the key I think women should understand is you can only attract to you what youre in harmonious vibrations with. So stop resuscitating dead relationships, theres a reason you didnt want them 10 years ago and that reason still subsists. Get off the dating sites. Stop "waiting'. Just focus on yourself, living your life, doing you, growing and expanding in abundance success and love and you will attract to you who you are in harmonious vibrations with. This is why I dont force connections with persons I am not vibrationally aligned with - there are many nice guys with great bodies and good jobs but there is absolutely no connection bc there is no vibrational alignment. Dont settle, aim for vibrational alignment, be the best version of yourself every day.
