A prayer For Rains.
Lord how are you .Hope all is well that side. Otherwise down here it's not things. This rain situation is bad Sir. Father we understand that it's true sometimes nature in this world hits us and it may have nothing to do with our sins or even the devil causing the natural disaster.
But Lord we want to ask ,that if in any way our sins may have contributed to this dry spell the country is facing please forgive our sins. If at all maybe as a nation we have drifted too far away from you and this is to serve as a reminder that we need to come back to you,Lord here come. We come before your throne of Mercy with humble hearts . knowing all power belongs to you and we come seeking for your mercy forgiveness and divine intervention.
You Lord are the one who promised in 2nd Corinthians 7:14 saying "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Lord we are your people. Called by your name as a Christian nation . It's true lately in most of us ka humbleness no bwino bwino . Especially as youths on social media sometimes we be doing too much in showing forth what the Lord has done for me.
But Lord sometimes we show off our blessings for people to see how powerful your hand has worked in our lives and let them know that if you can do it for us their neighbors, Then you in the neighborhood and soon enough you can do it for them to if they just continue pushing and show some persistence.
But If at all we have not been showing forth thy goodness in the right way please forgive us and show us the right way to do so. because Lord keeping quiet after you bless us may not be a very easy thing to do for many of us.
And as you work this humbleness in us Lord help us to seek thy face and turn from our wicked ways. Help us to understand what these words truly mean and not only speak them but live them out in our lives. For if we do these things we believe your promise of hearing our prayer from heaven and healing our land will surely come to pass and not fail.
Lord many ot the fields right now may be beyond survival but even though this be so we know you are able to do what we may interpret as impossible. For all things are possible with you. But Lord it's not only for the maize that we are praying for you to send us rains.
Without the rains Lord our boreholes will run dry, without the rains Lord water levels in our hydo power stations will be reduced heavily and the load shedding that will follow is scary even to think about and this will affect many of our businesses and lives negatively.
Without the rains Lord rivers will soon run dry and our animals will die of thirst. Without the rains Lord many of us your people especially in the rural areas where we really depend on the what we grow for sustainance have no idea how we will make it through.
But Lord we do not tell you these things because you don't know. We tell you these things to pour our hearts to you as your children knowing that if we do this as a father you will provide for us. It is our desire and prayer that you provide for us the rains because of all these things mentioned and even more.
And if at all Lord the rains do not come.Then in your own way Lord we ask that you may see us through as a nation. And even as you see us through as a nation Lord we pray that you may come down to family level and hear our prayers as we pour out our hearts asking for your help in our specific family and individual needs.
Lord we know you hold this nation and this whole world in your hands. And so we continue asking that as the song says you may "let it rain". For without rain some of us can't see how exactly we will make it through the problems that will result from that. But putting our faith and trust in you we are certain we will make it through.
But even as we end this prayer we continue asking Lord. Send us your rain. This we ask In your son's name Jesus Christ.
