Here’s an etching that I did, that I don’t even own a copy of. This is the etched side of Shadow Kingdom by . These style images are some of my favorite to do. Every time you look at it, you notice something that you didn’t see before. Big thank you to for letting me use their picture.

Here is the 2nd etching I did. This one is for his Craps (After Hours) album. Also released by and the Richard Pryor estate. I feel that it’s important to emphasize that last bit. It is all too often in the entertainment biz that a legacy artist’s catalog is reissued without proper oversight so much that it gets to an exploitative state that eventually does not represent their initial vision. So when a classic is reissued with the backing of the estate, it is typically done with great care and attention to finer detail. This reissue is no exception. The packaging, pressing, and art layout are all incredible. Hell, I’d suggest buying it for the liner notes alone.

This etching is one of my favorites that I’ve done on a technical level. Occasionally I’ll get art that is hard to work with, sometimes my materials don’t play nice, even the temperature and humidity can affect the outcome. None of that was the case with this one. Everything lined up perfectly. I am incredibly proud of this job, and beyond honored to work on such a legendary artist’s stuff.

If you know me personally, then you know I am a HUGE Richard Pryor fan. Of all of the records in my collection I have more by him than anyone else. So when I got the email with the art for this etching I was over the fu***ng moon. This is the D-side etching for his ‘Live At The Comedy Store’ LP that recently came out via and the estate.

In the past few days I’ve done binaural recording on a beach made of volcanic rock, the outer edge of a rainforest, as well as some other odd places for recording. All this to say I have started a new project, that is probably my most ambitious recording/production endeavor, more on that later.

Photographic etchings can sometimes be super difficult. I’ve been working on new approaches to these kinds of images to try and retain as much of the depth and nuance of the image. This one is a year or two old and represents doing it the harder way, however I still feel that it came out really good, and am incredibly proud of the results. This is the etching from the album ‘Runnin’ Down A Dream: A Tribute To Tom Petty’ 📸

I’m slowly going through, forcing to take portrait style pictures of all the etchings I’ve done (that I’m allowed to talk about 🤫), to show off the details in them. This is a zoetrope etching that I did for on her Hot Sass album. Maybe later I’ll post an action clip of the animation.

Big thanks to for letting me use these pictures he took. This is the B side of the Billie Eilish ‘Everything I Wanted’ 12”. When I did this etching, I had no idea who it was for. I occasionally get surprised like that. I’m not mad about it at all.

Today would be ‘s 84th birthday. I first worked with him on his 2013 album ‘Black In The Sack’ and then a few years later I worked with his estate to release the posthumous collection ‘Forever Fly’ on . This record is one of the earliest playable etchings that I did. There is a song cut around the outer border, through the text. This was also released as a official title in 2016. 📸

Throwback: this etching is from 2017 (I think) and is the Bside for the record ‘Dead Soil’. did the artwork. At the time it was the most detailed image I had done, and is still one of my favorites. 📸
