*Baghi- Mehtab Prostitution Racket: Police issues Detailed Statement*

Srinagar, April 03(GNS): Police on late Monday issued a detailed statement regarding busting Prostitution Racket in Baghi Mehtab area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district.

In a handout to GNS, the police said, on the basis of a specific information a prostitution racket has been busted by Srinagar Police.
This S*x racket was being run by Irshad Ahmad Bhat S/O Shaban Bhat R/O Kadalbal Pampore and Mohd Shafi Hajam S/O Abdul Qayoom Hajam R/O Karim Abad Pulwama and others. The premises were raided by Chanpora Police station today, falling in the area of Bagh Mehtab .

The police spokesman further stated that both the persons were arrested on spot further 4 s*x workers & 2 customers( all 6 are locals of Srinagar) were also detained for questioning. The whole racket was run from rented house owned by one Altaf Hussain afaqi S/o Asadullah Afaqi R/o Chanapora.

FIR NO.19/2023 u/s 3,4,8 of Immortal trafficking act has been registered at chanpura PS. Further as the house owner had not done tenant verification of the tenants, he will also be booked.
All citizens are requested to do tenant verification if they have given their Houses/rooms/shops on rent, reads the statement.(GNS)

Father confesses to murder of 7-year-old girl in Kupwara, arrested: Police*

Kupwara, April 03 (KNS): In a shocking development, father of a 7-year-old girl whose throat slit body was found outside her residence in Khurhama Zab area of Lolab in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, has confessed to the crime, police said today.

The incident occurred last Wednesday, sending shockwaves across the valley and sparked outrage from various sections of the society with many demanding strict action against the accused.

*BUDGAM INCIDENT : POLICE VERSION*

*Says the culprit had cut the body of missing girl into pieces and buried the parts at different locations*

Budgam Mar 12:(ANR) A 45-year-old married carpenter has killed a 30-yr-old unmarried woman of Soibug at his home in Mohanpora (Ompora), chopped off her head, sliced the body into pieces and dumped the same at different spots, reports said on yesterday evening.

According to statement issued by Budgam Police as per *Anantnag News Reader* said, On March 8, Tanveer Ahmad Khan of Soibug Budgam submitted an application to the Police Post Soibug stating that his sister (name withheld), age 30 yrs left for the coaching classes on March 07 but didn’t return home.

In this regard, the missing report was registered and the investigation was started. Police rounded up several suspects including Shabir Ahmad Wani S/O Abdul Aziz Wani R/O Mohandpora Budgam. After sustained interrogation, Shabir confessed to having murdered the missing girl.

To hide his crime, the culprit had cut the body into pieces and buried the parts at different locations. On his disclosure, the parts have been recovered. Medico-legal formalities are underway. The investigation is on, police added. (ANR)

*Two killed after hit by ambulance in Srinagar*

Srinagar, Mar 08, KDC: Two persons were killed after being hit by an ambulance near Children hospital in Bemina area of summer capital Srinagar.

An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that two persons identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Nowpora, Baramulla, and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Hadipora, Rafiabad were critically injured after they were hit by a speedy ambulance near children hospital Bemina in wee hours on Wednesday.

Both the injured were shifted to JVC hospital for treatment, where doctors declared them dead on arrival, he said.

The driver of the ambulance has been arrested, while the vehicle was seized under relevant sections of law and further investigation of the incident is going on, he added. (KDC)
