The Hippodrome of Constantinople was an ancient arena that served as the center of sports and entertainment in the Byzantine capital. It was first built by the Roman emperor Septimius Severus in the early 3rd century CE, and later expanded and renovated by Constantine the Great in the 4th century CE, when he made Constantinople the new imperial capital. The Hippodrome could accommodate up to 100,000 spectators, who enjoyed chariot races, parades, public executions, and other spectacles. The Hippodrome was also decorated with various monuments and artworks, such as the obelisk of Theodosius, the serpent column, and the bronze horses. The Hippodrome remained in use until the 13th century CE, when it was sacked and looted by the Crusaders. Today, only a few remnants of the Hippodrome survive in the Sultan-Ahmet Square in Istanbul.

"Tanganyika was a sovereign state, comprising the mainland part of present-day Tanzania, which existed from 1961 until 1964. Later on, Tanganyika and Zanzibar unified and the country called Tanzania."
