Finally have the chance to go back to Yap Seng Bak K*t Teh 葉城（乾）肉骨茶 at bukit indah to try their signautre dry Bak K*t Teh.

Delicious Bak Ku Teh simmering in a thick dark, sweet and spicy sauce. Pork meats are fresh and soft. You can easily tear off the flesh from the bones. Absolutely delicious!

Lai Hiang Pork Rib Prawn Mee ( #01-41) at Pek Kio Hawker Centre is consistently crowded with long snake of customers especially during lunch time. The stall is run by a husband-and-wife team for several years, serving prawn noodle in either soup or dry version, priced at $2.50, $3 and $5. It is pretty hard to find a decent bowl of prawn noodle for just $2.50 nowadays.

The generous bowl of prawn noodle soup at $3 comes with piles of beehoon and Kuay tiao, fish cakes, pork slices, 2 half prawn, bean sprouts topped with fried shallots and pepper and chili powder. The noodle was smooth and slurpy which soak up all the tasty broth. Loved the de-shelled prawns as they were fresh and juicy. Pork meat was tender, and fishcake was soft to chew. The soup was light and watery with mild sweetness. Do come early as food might sold out as early as 1pm!

Amoy Street Lor Mee at Senja Hawker Centre is well-known for being the go-to option for the richness of its gravy. Bowl is generously filled with fish cakes, pork belly slices, Ngo Hiang, half braised egg and drenched with their savory gravy. The pork belly was tender and chewy with fats. Noodle was slurpy and full of flavor as it had soaked up the savory gravy. Remember to help yourself with the condiments – minced garlic, black vinegar and chili to suit your own liking.

It’s a bowl that can be enjoyed by people of any age thanks to its nostalgic appeal and powerful flavors.

Went to Bukit Indah this morning and have claypot chicken rice for lunch. Super filling with claypot rice (serving 1-2 pax), braised chicken feets and coffee.

Chicken rice was fluffy & generous with chicken meat pieces. Love to scoop and dig the chao tah (overcooked) rice at the bottom as they added crisp and taste to the dish. Meat was chewy and tasty with pre-added dark sauce. Braised chicken feets were the highlight as they almost melted right in the mouth after spitting out the bones. They were so soft, savory and delicious. The gravy was perfect to drizzle onto the chicken rice to level up the taste.

Total damage RM22.80. Less than $7 sgd.

Visit Lor Mee 178 at Tiong Bahru Food Centre if you want to try some thing different than your usual lor mee stall. This stall is popular among patrons because of their freshly prepared battered fried shark meat fritters serve in their dishes.

The fried shark meat fritters were nicely seasoned, super crunchy and addictive. These dishes are complemented greatly by their delicious thick robustic gravy. Remember to garnish with vinegar, chilli and garlic for a perfect combination. Definitely worth the calories.
