YPP folds up, empties into APC in Akwa Ibom in solidarity with Senator Akpabio

The budding Young Progressives Party, YPP, which pulled a huge upset in Akwa Ibom during the 2023 general elections has folded up and its structures across the State have joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, in a rare demonstrate of solidarity with the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Governorship candidate of the Party, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan Deputy Governorship candidate, Retired AIG Asuquo Amba, State Executive Committee of the Party led by the State Chairman, Apostle Nyeneime Andy, its Elders' Council, chapter and ward officers and the entire executive council of the Akwa Ubok Abasi campaign organisation numbering over 10,000 paid a solidarity visit to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, at his country home in Ukana, Essien Udim local government area, on Friday 19th January, 2024 and declared their support for President Bola Tinubu.

YPP formed barely seven months to the 2023 general election, was the fastest growing Party in the Akwa Ibom State.

The Party scored the second highest number of valid votes cast in the 2023 governorship election, won two seats in the House of Assembly and one in the House of Representatives elections, according to results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Presenting the position of the party during the solidarity visit to the Senate President, the Eket senatorial candidate of the YPP in the 2023 election, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, said the members of the Party unanimously agreed to join the APC.

"We have come to tell you that the time has come for us to make necessary adjustments for the growth of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria. We have come with a message of solidarity to you. The last time a person from the South-South zone occupied the position of the Senate President was about 44 years ago. We are determined to stand by you and support you.

"We are satisfied with the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu. We are determined to stand by you and strengthen your hand so that you can achieve more.

"We have come wholeheartedly to pledge our solidarity. We have come to make fundamental commitment. After the Supreme Court judgment, we came to a decision and the right decision was that we should support the APC. We have come with the totality of the YPP family in solidarity. This solidarity is not words of mouth, it is total.

"Today, YPP in Akwa Ibom State has become APC. We have come to submit that you lead us", he said.

Akparawa Inyang-Eyen was Commissioner for Works, and Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

The State Chairman of YPP, Apostle Nyeneime Andy, said members of the party are very pleased with policies of the Tinubu's administration.

Andy said after the rerun election in Ikono/Ini federal constituency and Ibiono Ibom State Constituency candidates of the party in the two legislative houses will officially defect to the APC.

"Politics is like a football match, you should know that there will always be a time for transfers. So this is time for transfer. The YPP is very happy and pleased with the way President Bola Tinubu is running the affairs of the country, that is why our Party members said we should take them to APC", Andy said.

In his remarks, Governorship candidate of the YPP in the 2023 election, Senator Bassey Albert, said the Party joined the APC to support President Tinubu and join hands with the Senate President to ensure that Akwa Ibom is not divided.

"I am a son you sent out and I have come with a lot of sons. I aspired because I knew that the Akwa Ibom State you built is not the Akwa Ibom we have today. I saw my aspiration as opportunity to restore the lost glory of Akwa Ibom State.

"We are here to join hands with you (Senate President) to ensure that Akwa Ibom State is not divided. We have come to submit totally to your leadership. We believe and feel strongly that we are safer in APC. After the rerun our members in the House of Representatives and House of Assembly will join us here."

Senator Albert emphasised that he is not joining the APC to seek election.

"I am not here to contest any election but to support you to deliver Akwa Ibom State to APC."

Responding, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, acknowledged the growth of the YPP and the capacity the party demonstrated during the 2023 governorship election.

He lauded them for coming out openly to commend Tinubu's style of administration, policies and programmes aimed at improving the well-being of Nigerians.

"From nothing, you built a recognised political structure in Akwa Ibom State that propelled you to somewhere. Thank you for openly acknowledging that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is leading the nation in the right direction. I tell people, if you can see good governance in Asiwaju, why don't you join us.

"This is a very uncommon move, you are not joining us because there is an election tomorrow. You are joining us because you have seen good governance."

Akpabio said the APC will provide equal opportunity to all of them.

The YPP structure was received by the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Stephen Ntukekpo who equally guaranteed all rights and privileges to all those that have joined the APC same as those who have been there overtime..

Ntukekpo said he has been mandated by the National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, to direct all members of the APC to vote for the two candidates of the YPP during the rerun election in Ikono/Ini federal constituency and Ibiono Ibom State Constituency scheduled for February 3, 2024.

ALGON Chairman Mobilizes Women in Anticipation of Victory at Uyo Tribunal

The Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Local Government Chairmen (ALGON), amidst an air of confidence, has initiated preparations to mobilize 105 women to Uyo.

Their mission? To celebrate what he believes will be Governor Umo Eno's imminent triumph at the tribunal, even before the judgment has been rendered.

The ALGON Chairman's plan, conveyed in an urgent message, outlines the logistics: 105 women per Local Government Area, divided among seven buses, each carrying 15 passengers. Their destination is the Cenotaph on Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo, where accreditation for the celebration will begin at 10 am.

This begs the question: How did the ALGON Chairman acquire such unwavering certainty about the tribunal's outcome in favor of Governor Umo Eno? The world is watching.

A'IBOM TRIBUNAL: UMO ENO'S WAEC FORGERY DEBACLE

In the interest of putting out precise account of developments at the Governorship election tribunal so far just inorder not to allow the public to be cajoled to believing fallacies by attention seeking write up by one Emmanuel Nicolas alias White Bom Bom on social media, it is pertinent to state the obvious that the basic qualification according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Act as amended is that as at the time of contesting the Governorship election anywhere in Nigeria such a person MUST have a genuine secondary certificate and that has not changed.

The reason editors of newspapers following the tribunal have lately summarized the Umo Eno WAEC certificate saga into a query thus:
''How Did You Attend University of Uyo WITHOUT Secondary Education Genuine WAEC Certificate, a qualification for you to contest for Governor ? '' — Bassey Albert Tackles Umo Eno

It's now a given that the Governorship Election Tribunal petition filed by Senator Albert Bassey Akpan against the election of Bassey Eno as Governor of Akwa Ibom State adopted their written addresses in readiness for judgment.

The 3-man Election Panel headed by Justice A. A. Adeleye is expected to deliver judgement on the matter soon which centres on certificate forgery by Umo Eno which rendered him ineligible for the governorship election as well as malpractices during the election.

As at Tuesday August 15 counsels to the petitioners and respondents made their submissions to the Tribunal, citing relevant authorities to back up their arguments.

A Counsel to the petitioner, Tunde Falola, expressed optimism on the possible outcome of the case, relying on the weighty grounds for the petition being forgery and electoral irregularities.

Falola told the Tribunal that the Governorship candidate of the PDP for the 2023 Governorship election in Akwa Ibom was not qualified to contest as at the time of the Governorship election.

He said Eno submitted a forged WAEC certificate to the election umpire (INEC), evidenced in his form EC9, and presented to the Tribunal.

A subpoenaed witnessed from the West African Certificate Examination (WAEC), Adekanmbi Olaolu, on June 20, 2023, had appeared before the Tribunal to denounce the certificate purportedly submitted by the PDP candidate, Umo Eno.

The witness had told the Tribunal that a candidate takes responsibility for infraction in his/her names. He however noted that the examination body presents a window for candidates to remedy or correct such infractions in order or specify his names.

Corroborating the testimony of the subpoenaed witness, Falola told the Tribunal the 2nd respondent (Eno), did not present any document reconciling that he also bears Bassey Umo Eno, which appears in the June 1981 WAEC certificate, as against Eno Umo Bassey, which he submitted to the election umpire before the elections.

He said Eno did not front load a deed poll as provided for by the Supreme Court to reconcile his names till date.

Falola told the Tribunal the 2nd respondent, while responding to the petition, said he would be relying on Certified True Copies (CTC) of his 1981and 83 certificates obtained from WAEC, which he later abandoned while presenting witnesses.

On Eno’s expulsion from UNIUYO in 2005, counsel to the Petitioners submitted that the 2nd respondent could not produce J. S. Aborishade and Aniedi Abasi Udofia all Registrars at different times with the University of Uyo who respectively signed the employment and promotion letters of Daniel Akpan, a subpoenaed witness and staff of the University of Uyo, who certified documents linked to the expulsion of Eno.

Recall that in order to confirm the employment status of the subpoenaed witness Daniel Akpan with UNIUYO, counsels to the Defendant led by Paul Usoro SAN had requested the tribunal on June 20, 2023 to allow them the confirmation of Akpan before he could be taken as witness and the Justice Adeleye led Governorship tribunal obliged him before Daniel Akpan was later accepted by the Defendant to be taken.

Counsels to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Umo Bassey Eno and Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), while adopting their respective addresses, could not sufficiently confront the facts and merit of the petitioner in asking the Tribunal to dismiss the petition.

Evidences have been provided by the petitioner convincingly to the tribunal and all eyes are now on the tribunal for Judgment soonest in the interest of justice and democracy.

EXCLUSIVE: Akwa Ibom Government Reportedly Connives With Top WAEC Officials To Hinder INTERPOL’s Probe Of Governor Eno’s Certificate Controversy.

The governor had been enmeshed in a long-drawn legal battle over the authenticity of the WAEC certificate which he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the 2023 governorship elections.

The certificate controversy and scandal involving Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has assumed a fresh dimension as SaharaReporters gathered that there is an alleged plot between the governor's proxies and top West African Examination Council (WAEC) officials to intercept and stop the ongoing INTERPOL investigation into the governor's WAEC records.

The governor had been enmeshed in a long-drawn legal battle over the authenticity of the WAEC certificate which he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the 2023 governorship elections.

His declaration as governor by INEC on March 18, 2023, is currently being challenged by the trio of Senator Bassey Albert of YPP, Obong Akan Udofia of APC and Senator John Akpan Udoedehe of NNPP at the Akwa Ibom Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Uyo.

At the ongoing trial, the Tribunal subpoenaed the Head of the National Office of WAEC to appear before it and testify on issues relating to Eno's WAEC records including the WAEC register, candidate's photocard of 1981 and GCE/WAEC certificate.

Furthermore, Law Icons (Solicitors & Notaries) in March 2023 wrote to the Inspector General of Police for inquiries on the WAEC/GCE 1981 certificate presented to INEC by Eno.

They sought to ascertain the authenticity of his WAEC certificate and also determine whether the holder of the certificate is Umo Bassey Eno or someone else. Following the petition, the INTERPOL was mandated to commence investigations at the WAEC headquarters in Ghana and subsequently, the national office of WAEC in Nigeria.

According to an insider source in WAEC who spoke on condition of anonymity, INTERPOL had concluded investigations at the Ghana WAEC office successfully but all efforts to initiate similar forensic investigations in Nigeria proved abortive as the team was blocked by top officials at the WAEC national office.

The police had to approach a Federal High Court in Lagos to obtain an Order of Court to enable them to access the WAEC national office for investigation and examination of records.

Upon service of the Order of Federal High Court (Lagos Division) on WAEC, the police investigation team arrived at Yaba last Tuesday but a top official allegedly prevented them from accessing and examining the records.

Sources at WAEC revealed that top WAEC directors at the Yaba office allegedly received huge sums of money in several instalments from Akwa Ibom State Government as bribes for concealing and doctoring information on Eno's WAEC records.

The source further disclosed that one of the top directors alerted the Akwa Ibom State Governor to the court-ordered search and the governor prevailed on some high-level officers to delay the INTERPOL investigations till at least the following day.

"As at 4 pm, the WAEC official said the doors to the record room were automatically locked until 9.30 am the next day before police can access the records.

“The police investigation team and court officials who came for the search refused to leave until 5.30 pm. However, they eventually left upon the intervention of a top police boss who directed them to leave and return the next day by 9.30 am," the source disclosed.

SaharaReporters gathered from WAEC sources that the police investigators left and returned the next day for the search. They demanded to inspect the WAEC register, candidate's photocards and duplicate copy of the said certificate but WAEC insisted that such records were no longer available with them, a development which was strange given that the examination body was mandated by law to maintain and keep such sensitive records.

The source further revealed that the INTERPOL investigations unsettled the national officers of WAEC and they resolved to brief their external solicitors to approach the Federal High Court immediately to seek a vacation order to stop INTERPOL from further investigating Governor Eno's records.

WAEC has also reportedly been complicit in denying all litigants including former PDP governorship aspirant, Akan Okon; YPP candidate, Senator Bassey Akpan; APC candidate, Obong Akan Udofia and NNPP candidate, Senator John AkpanUdoedehe access to Eno's examination records in proof of their cases in court.

UNIUYO AND DESPERATION TAKEN TOO FAR AT THE AKWA IBOM GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION TRIBUNAL

Our intelligence had confirmed that the last has not been heard of the efforts of the University of Uyo to cover up for the embattled governor of Akwa Ibom State.

At the court session this morning, our sources had confirmed their plans to mutilate, remove or delete the records of Mr Daniel Akpan, a star witness of the prosecution.

All the files of Mr Daniels Akpan have been seized by the school (UNIUYO) administration on the orders of the VICE Chancellor, Prof. Ndaeyo Nyaudo just like they did to the records of the embattled 4 credit in 4 sittings Governor, Eno Umo Bassey after the CTC was obtained last year.

Their plans this time around is to wipe out all payment records of the PW with the University of Uyo Micro Finance bank which has been confirmed.

Also they have brought in a manual Excel sheet without the Daniel Akpan’s details as the payroll of the university but this is an act of desperation since they cannot delete the information in the IPPIS having tried and failed. Remember our sources confirmed that the Benue lady in the Accountant General's Office had actually refused to be paid to play.

Also as part of their desperation, they have also co opted a security personnel in the University Mr Nse Okon Udoh through the Chief Security officer to appear before the tribunal and claim the staff number of Mr Daniel Akpan PW as his own.

Another woman Ms Grace Okeke is also fronted to lay claim to Mr. Daniel Akpan’s IPPIS number in the university so you will wonder and confirmed that what UNIUYO led by the VC cannot do does not exist in a bid to justify the disbursement of 75Million naira paid out just for this dirty plot.

When the matter came up this morning for the defense to call their witnesses to close their case, they rather call for immediate adjournment till 3pm to better coach their collaborators on how to respond to the petitioner. The lead Counsel to the defense Mr Paul Usoro, a former Nigerian Bar Association president, the Chief architect of this fraudulent defense of a clear act of criminality was seen personally tutoring their latest collaborators and doctored witnesses.

Like we always say, the last has not been heard from this band of desperados. Information reaching us today also is the fact that they are now approaching the CBN to see if they can find a willing collaborator to help them delete Mr Akpan's record in the IPPIS payment instructions since they have have succeeded this morning in changing his IPPIS to Grace Okeke.

Wonders, they say shall never end .

MORE DETAILS ON DR. BASIL ONUOHA AS OFFERED BY HIS COLLEAGUES.

Colleagues of the fraudulent Pay-to-play lecturer that was exposed last week has volunteered more information on why the man, Dr Basil Onuoha must be arrested and prosecuted for his role in the Pst. Umo Eno’s certificate scam and his illegal navigation to being a Doctorate student in the University of Uyo having been expelled from the school by the University Senate in 2005.

How did he become Umo Eno’s Doctorates project Supervisor?
Authentic Information provided by his colleagues have it that the actual project supervisor for the self acclaimed pastor was one Professor Dode who left the school after starting as the project Supervisor and Mr. Enoh was transferred to another Doctor in the post graduate school but the said Dr Basil Onuoha forcefully with the collaboration of the school authority imposed himself as the doctorate supervisor of Pastor Enoh as the only way he can guarantee his graduation.

Remember in a post by the Dr. Onuoha last week quoted from his appearance on Arise Radio, he was eulogizing the sterling qualities of Pst. Umo Eno as the most serious and hardworking student, and this is a man fully running a government office and his campaign just finished, who is this criminal Doctor Onuoha fooling?

When Pastor Umo Eno went to consult the academic staff at the University Staff Club, this is the same man that spoke on behalf of the lecturers and we all know how these kind of spokesmen are chosen and also when the Pastor Umo Eno went to commission a lawn tennis court built in the staff club, it’s the same Doctor cm Godfather Onuoha who took the stage to eulogies his student who barely showed up in school or class but is the most serious and hardworking student by his assessment, Lol.

This man has made a fortune from his picky banks of H.E Udom Emmanuel and Pst. Umo Eno, and Akwa Ibom State treasury and has completed his first hotel in the state and far on the second one that is ongoing after the massive farm he has acquired and developed. The question his colleague are asking is how much is his salary or is it different from what they all earning? They went further to insist that Dr. Onuoha should produce the complete records of the Gov-elect because he had alway held it in protective custody.

The last hasn’t been heard of this matter as the Vice Chancellor of the University must show up today at the NUC secretariat with the comprehensive records of the student and this is where the integrity of the Vice chancellor and the university as a whole hangs on the balance.

All efforts by the school authority to come up with solution to this issue as of this time has not yielded any good result and the VC is very careful of what documentation he presents at the NUC today as any wrong information presented can cause him his job which he still has 3years to go. Whether he will choose to drown with the government and his selected successor is a choice he will have to make within the next 24hours.

All information reaching out is that the Dr. Onuoha himself has taken into hiding since the initial story of his role in the certificate saga was made public.

Stay tuned, we are in interesting times!

The Executive Secretary
National Universities Commission
26, Aguiyi Ironsi Street
PMB 237 Garki GPO
Maitama, Abuja

PETITION AGAINST A GRAND COVER UP BY THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF UYO, ON A CASE OF FORGERY AND MANIPULATION OF ACADEMIC RECORDS

The above subject matter refers, please.
We write to bring to your notice and to seek your supervisory intervention against the cover up of a forgery case by Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) concerning one Mr. Umo Bassey Eno.

For your information, the Senate of the University of Uyo had in 2005 expelled one Mr. Umo Bassey Eno over certificate forgery alongside other students. He was No. 19 (Nineteen) on the list of affected
students dated February, 10" 2005, which was duly published. At the root of the expulsion of Mr. Umo Bassey Eno, was the use of fraudulent
means, to wit, fake/forged 1998 West African Examination Council (WACE)/ Senior School Certificate examination (SSCE) certificate with certificate number NGSSO027932 and candidate examination number
15725119 to obtain admission. It may interest you to note that this same candidate examination number 15725119 was the same on Mr. Umo Bassey Eno's 1983 purported WACE certificate.

Against norms of probity, the Vice Chancellor of the university of Uyo,
Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo wants to obliterate the Senate's minutes, entire records and file, which relate to Mr. Umo Bassey Eno's established case of forgery and expulsion from the University of Uyo, by the then Senate of the
University.

This coordinated effort to desecrate our academia, over the cover up of a grand academic manipulation must never be allowed or encouraged; or
else, it will be doomsday for our educational system both locally and internationally. The whole world now watches, having developed peculiar interest in the brazen forgery, conspiracy of silence and cover up, because this issue is presently the subject of a major litigation in Akwa Ibom State, at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

It will therefore be odd and reprehensible, should such an action be allowed in a citadel of knowledge and excellence, which should be a shining example in all ramifications.

Accordingly, we seek your intervention against the ex*****on of such pervasive acts by the Vice Chancellor or his proxies under any
circumstances whatsoever, as the expulsion is a subject matter in a case litigation against said Mr. Umo Bassey Eno.

Accept our warmest regards, while expecting your appropriate action,
please.

Yours faithfully,
