Throw back to 31hrs after giving birth to Marcy. 👶🏽
Something I was not aware of, at the time, was how long it takes for your belly to "deflate". 💨
Movies and stuff make it seem like your baby comes out then you go back to a pre baby belly. I lost count of the amount of things I learned were not true and very romanticized in the media. But this was number 2. Number 1 is for another day.
This and all the other things I learned along the way are the main reason I started this account. I wanted other new moms to see that it is ok if we don't have abs the day we leave the hospital. That we all are terrified to p*e after having a baby even if it was a c-section. Also I like to make people laugh!
So welcome to my family, welcome to our journey, I hope it can be a safe space on social media for you. One that makes you realise it doesn't need to look like it does in the movies and it doesn't mean you are less than for it.
Everyone has a different journey so don't measure your worth by someone else's glamour shots of their family. The garbage pile is usually just pushed aside to take an insta worthy pic! 📸
