Okay, let’s go back to basics... you likely have your own Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn profile, right?

Think back to when you first created your profile. Why did you create your profile?

To connect with friends? To be… social?

Although all social media platforms have different algorithms, they each want users to stay on their platform as long as possible, and therefore reward accounts that engage other users.

So in 2023, you HAVE to be SOCIAL on social media! 🙌

By being social and engaging on each channel for 15-30 minutes a day, you will be surprised at how much your social media channels grow and the relationships, user generated content and brand ambassadors that fall out of that too.

How to engage on your social media channels:
✅ Comment on other people’s posts (try to ask them a question or give them a reason to respond)
✅ Reply to other people’s stories
✅ Use lots of features on stories to give people a way to interact with your account
✅ Find new accounts by searching relevant hashtags and
✅ Ask a question at the end of your post to generate comments
✅ Try not to drive traffic away from the original platform. For example, if you are promoting your new YouTube video on Facebook, don’t include the link in your main post, but put the link in the comments.

Hi, I’m Katie! 👋
I have over 7 years experience in marketing, working in a wide range of industries including tourism, property, beauty, dentistry and financial education.

Most recently, I have been working as Head of Marketing for a property and financial education provider, so although I am a social media marketing expert, I have a wider experience of all things marketing and have been involved in larger-scale projects in a managerial position including brand strategies, marketing campaigns and book launches.

I am passionate about social media and the possibilities it presents for your business. As well as managing clients accounts, I also run my own bookstagram account and a fun lifestyle account Salcombe Stories with my partner Olly.

When I’m not busy creating content with a cup of Lady Grey, you’ll often find me on the water, gig-rowing or learning to sail. You’ll also find me busy working on our house renovation, or snuggled up getting lost in a good book.
